Ive had my corrado in storage for a while , starting it up periodically , but without a metal coolant pipe I was reluctant to keep starting it up.....now ive fitted the pipe and its leak free (pretty chuffed with that). But , it won't idle , it starts fine , revs freely but if I take my foot off the accelerator completely it just dies almost instantly. I must admit i'm a novice under the bonnet with only basic mechanical skills , the mechanic at work suggested it may be a perished vacuum hose :shrug: I grasp what hes saying but all the hoses "seem" intact . I really want to get her back on the road this summer , as cheaply as possible Any ideas or pointers would be great :thumbleft:

I'm after a metal coolant pipe , got the part number now , as there is a tiny hole which absolutely p***es water out even when not running . My car's in a small garage at the moment and i'm told that if there is NO water in at all then i'll be fine when it comes to freezing weather ...still wanna get one on tho so i can start it up periodically until after winter (and I get my licence back !)

Thanks guys ....panic over !! Its in storage for now in a (small) garage and I was told without water / antifreeze in it then things would get tricky when it starts to freeze . I had visions of me under the bonnet in snow and wind !! I could do with getting one on though so I can start it up periodically until it comes out of hibernation . Thanks again :thumbleft:

Thanks very much ! I just need to find a metal coolant pipe now before it starts to freeze , theres no water/anti freeze in the engine at the minute , its in a garage but still.....

Could anyone direct me to wards a metal coolant pipe for my '95 valver ? I ordered the wrong ******* one off ebay :bonk: (part number 037121065L) but cant seem to find any online (as i dont have the part number !) Also is it the same as the G60 , it sure as hell looks it on the G60 cooling system diagram ! ....I'm waiting for 2 manuals off ebay but until my e-cheque clears im stuffed !! (As you can tell i'm just starting out so any advice would be great ) I really need to get it sorted before the temps drop to freezing to prevent damage as there is NO water or anti freeze in the engine at the minute !!!

After a lot of swearing and awkward arm positions i managed to replace the small pipe connecting the metal coolant pipe to the water pump.....only to find out it wasnt a perished or damaged hose but a corroded coolant pipe . The tiniest hole was just ****ing water out !! Hi , does anyone know if there are replacement coolant hose kits available for the 2.0 16v ? I've scoured the forums and various sites and cant seem to find any :scratch: Any help and advice would be great thanks .
