hi all. yes i do like the colour. it changes with the light.looks like its black sometimes then goes dark to lighter blue. i got another front seat to use for bits to make drivers side nice.mint bolter. also got another cam cover off fleabay, only 99p. gave it the wet n dry treatment then polished on bench drill came up a treat. cars running sweet now chargers seems to boost well.only taken it to 4rpm tho getting 10psi before it hits 3rpm then 12psi at 4rpm pulls strong and seams instant soon as you give it some beef dont seem to get any lag unless in top gear at low revs [ATTACH=CONFIG]69042[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]69046[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=CONFIG]69043[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]69044[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]69045[/ATTACH]

after loadss of research lastnight i found i can adjust the isv. i did adjust it today and the car does pull a lot harder upto 3rpm made alot more beef. still got a bit of a flatspot so im still trying to find it.i did set co port at 450 and rechecked timing havent been for a spin since reset co port.

the money pit got trouble yet again, i realy like my raddo but its doing my head in, i think its my isv valve thingy.the car sounds more like air sucking in a lot more than before i thought it may be the charger as its a fresh rebuild.i been driving round under 3rpm to run it in, but its time to give it some boost now and its getting to 10psi by time it hits 3rpm the hesertates if i give it more gas.fine on part throttle. the car starts on the button everytime .past mot last week and still running a cat if i unplug the isv the car does drop a rev but hardly anything and reves ans ticks over sweet i did take for a spin with plug off and does seem i little better and still ticks over sweet. im woundering if the isv is stopping getting more boost as i used to get 15psi at 6rpm ive done a boost check and holds psi fine. anyones thoughts..

im going to volksfest aslong as the weathers fine,and yes im only up the road,been down lds a few times in the raddo but dont use it as much as i should. is that blue t5 pickup yours with the nice wood work.

only by chance i found it. i take it that it must send a signal to the ecu. i am only guessing mind seems a lot smoother when in low revs too.

yes a new cap a few months ago. i rechecked the timing and timed it up on the front pulley marks and it seemed a tooth out up one tooth.i moved it up a tooth and turned engine over by hand a few times then recheck and all looked ok.the timing is spot on set at 6 deg. took car for a run and drives ok but the problam was still there then checked the first throttle switch and it was stuck in and only clicked a few times so i cleaned it up and sprayed it with a bit of oil and clicks everytime. took car out for a couple of runs ans seems fine,boosting well again but feels like the timing needs to be advanced a little otherwise all great again and a free fix. cheers to all who helped

took car for a spin today.it does run a lot better and boost better but did die one for a second but goes if a full throttle it but still sluggish pulling off took a look at the timing then and cant make it out the flywheel lines up ok and rotor arm point to number one but my cam marks are not the same as the ones on other g60s i don't have the two tots at the front or a single dot at the rear i have a line at the the rear that's half a tooth off also my dizzys and rotor arm are not pointing same as the pics on the timing thread but on number one and not far away the cam dots are the ones bothering me me most.but cant be that far out as starts on the button everytime.

i fitted a new pipe to the fpr and seems ok .i did unplug the lambda to day but seemed the same but i repaired a wire so will check it again now wires fixed

ecu pipe is fine. new one fitted. found a bad wire near lamda. i fix the wire but still the same wheres the stability valve too, also i noticed the getting sluggish a while back and it only sometimes gave a small backfire and it would be fine then. if rev the car only up to 2/3k in small revs if feels sluggish and pops like its running out of petrol if i rev it full throttle it revs a little slow but no backfire. does anyone know if the hall sensor in the dizzy plays up how the car acts. think il also change the lamda. checked all injector wires,dizzy wires. sensor wires.checked all boost pipes. also if i hold the wot switch the revs go up and revs nice.

no it doesnt have a maf sensor as its a g60. cheers

rite ive owned this car for 11 months now always been reliable even drove well. after fixing boost leaks i was getting 14/16 psi took the car last weekend to retro car show and drove fine ther and back but sluggish then got almost home then started to backfire on throttle and engine would die then i would have to slam the throttle to the floor and it would pick up again soon as i came off throttle then give it some gas it dies again till full throttle only seems to do this when the cars warm.im also only seeing about 10 psi at 4 rpm even sounds flat and a flat spot if i rev the car and a backfire and my cat smells like its working to hard stinks eggy.im thinking its either the dizzy or fuel pump. i just changed new vw blue sensor. changed coil, also new ecu vacum pipe.fuel filter a few months ago i also changed knock sensor a month ago not a new one but one off my passat 20v turbo. its the same lenth and same three pin plug. anyone got any ideas as its doing my head in and worried im going to be stuck somewhere.
