Trying to think what I was driving when I was 26 - probably either my 1977 1.5 Austin Allegro :), or my 1983 VW Scirocco CL Cheers Jeff -
Just a quick bump, as still looking Cheers Jeff
-
Hi, What size? I've got a spare pair of 3m. Cheers Jeff
-
I've jsut fitted a new HU in my 1986 Scirocco which didn't have a switched live. Fairly standard for VW's I'm told. Just left it as is and use the on/off button on the unit. Seems to disconnect all bluetooth etc connections for me. Cheers Jeff

Played unintentional leapfrog for a good few miles with a Green valver on the A30 from Bodmin to the M5 (where we turned off) on my way back from Cornwall on Saturday afternoon. Both my other half and the "outlaws" who were following us commented how smart it looked! Hope you had a good rest of the journey Cheers Jeff

Hi, Thanks, very helpful indeed, hopefully have now sourced one. Cheers Jeff
-
Gaz, I'm not sure tbh, as I haven't had the old one out yet. As the C is my daily at the moment, I was hoping to source a replacement and then just swap them over in one go! Cheers Jeff
-
Hi Steve, No probs but thanks very much anyway! Cheers Jeff
-
It clips onto the fuel pump in the tank Thanks Jeff

Hi, My gauge has ceased to work- well most of the time. Anyone have a sender for a 1995 16V ? Thanks Jeff

Still looking if anyone has one. Cheers Jeff

For a "modern" car I think it looks OK. It's slightly more distinctive than the raft of other cars designed purely through aerodynamic considerations. If i were in the market for a car of that ilk, I'd be tempted, I must say. Can't say it is one that I would get out of and always look back at before I go into the house though like I do with the Scirocco/ Corrado/ GT6. I often wonder if in 35 years time there will be crowds wandering around a field of Focus/ Corsas etc, discussing the charm/ stye of the cars! Cheers Jeff

Hi, Just to say many thanks, received fine yesterday Cheers Jeff

I believe my C may have a premium sound system. Was this a factory option and could anyone let me know what it consisted of? Thanks Jeff
-

NW London (Harrow) for me. Would potentially be interested, yeah. Cheers Jeff -
This thread needs reviving! Just acquired The Raven That Refused to Sing Unmistakably Steven Wilson but unmistakably not Porcupine Tree Absolutely stunning prog album. Have been on a bit of a spree recently (Riverside, Porcupine Tree, Anathema, even an old Sweet album - showing my age there :smug:) but this album really surprised me as it is so much better than his last solo effort . More variety, more textures, love it! Cheers Jeff

I need to have a look at mine too. Battery doesn't last more than about 2 days. Really beginning to p*** me off ! Cheers Jeff

Was just leaving Sainsbury's car park, Kenton, Harrow, on Sunday abt 3.45 ish only to find myself behind a Red C (didn't catch the flavour) reg K216....looked in very good nick. Gave you a toot! Nice to see one so local :thumbleft: Cheers Jeff

Well, taking a leaf out of Tempest's book :) 1) Triumph GT6 (Got one) 2) Triumph Dolomite Sprint (Close - I have a Dolomite 1850) 3) VW Scirocco Mk2 (Purchase irresistably imminent) 4) Rover P6 5)Lotus Elan S2 But there are so many others from the late 60's/70 all of which have real character. If money were no object i'd need a hanger - not a garage! Cheers Jeff
-
Never been to a VAG night there, turned up to a couple of Triumph meets though :) Will see how I go on Tues, don't usually get home from work until 7.30 ish though so might be a bit of a rush! Cheers Jeff

And I'm in Harrow so not too far! Cheers Jeff

Some very kind individual has reversed into my car during the day severely denting the passenger door. They left no note even though the damage and position of the car is clearly consistent with someone reversing out of their driveway and into my car. The door may be repairable but as it looks like I will have to fork out for the repairs was thinking it might be cheaper to just replace the door. If anyone has a good condition Aqua blue passenger door, please let,me,know Cheers Jeff
