  1. Cheers. All back together , however, having tested the brake (both foot and hand) there doesn't appear to be any action on the disc! Brake fluid does come out of the loosened bleed nipple when the footbrake is applied. I have also put the handbrake on and off abiout 10 times. Is there anything I need to re-check or adjust? Thanks Jeff
  2. Could be a picture of mine! I have almost exactly the same area of rust but maybe a bit less!! Cheers Jeff
  3. Final stage - phew Just got the new calliper and pads to do.(Dics, bearings, carrier all fitted) Am I correct in that the pads just slip onto the carrier? Is there anything I need to look out for when fitting the pads? Many thanks Jeff
  4. I think that's fair point. Of my cars, the best ride for the state of our local roads is probably the Dolly, then the Rocco, the GT6 and finally the Corrado! But get the Rado on a decent road and it's a lovely drive. Cheers Jeff
  5. But when were those reviews written - in 1989/90. I doubt whether the review says it will be one of the best handling cars for the next 15 years :) Cheers Jeff
  6. They do appear on the 'Bay periodically. Seem to vary in price though! Last set went for £300 odd but they did look to be in pretty good nick with centre caps. I've been considering Sebrings as a spare/ winter set for the Rado/ Rocco Cheers Jeff
  7. I should be there as I have 5 clubs of which I am a member to visit! Cheers Jeff
  8. Hey Fonz.... Many many thanks for all your help - discs now off without any further dramas  Was all set to start fitting the new one when I realised that it didn't have the ABS sensor rings - doh! Even though they would have presumably have fitted and the ABS has never worked since I've had the car, I thought it best to at least put the right discs on, so new ones awaited. Cheers Jeff
  9. So whats the view of y'all out there? Inpro as above - yay or nay? Personally, I can't really make my mind up! Cheers Jeff
  10. Yay!! Success. Callipers disconnected, carriers off with judicious use of wheelbrace and Irwins - now to get the old bolt out of the Irwin socket:) Next step - get the discs off. Any tips on removing the cotter pins/ discs? Cheers Jeff
  11. Fairly historic sighting!! A really nice looking blackberry C in the car park at the Kop Hill Climb, Princes Risborough sensible car park on Sat 21st Sept. We were in our GT6 but got told to park in the cabbage patch! Cheers Jeff
  12. Well abject failure on almost every level really:( Firstly, how does the brake hose unscrew from the caliper? The nut just seems to rotate with the hose. Secondly, how does the handbrake detach from the caliper? Finally, I cannot get anywhere with the carrier bolts. Irwins just seem to roll off. This is really beginning to p*** me off Jeff
  13. Thanks both. Bearings ordered Onwards and upwards, as they say!! Cheers Jeff
  14. Made progress last weekend. Callipers etc off. Inner pad completely worn, outer maybe some 3 mm left. Bottom slider bolt on carrier seized solid, top one moves fine. So, new carrier obtained, will probably get a new calliper. Can someone advise how the hub cap comes off as I'll be changing the disc too. Cheers Jeff
  15. Hi, link didn't work but have found them and now ordered. Thanks for your help Cheers Jeff
  16. Looking for rear passenger side calliper carrier for 95 valver. Would consider both sides if available Cheers Jeff
  17. Hi, I suspect I have a seized rear brake piston (grinding sound and loads of brake dust on rear wheel). My first time with this sort of issue. Anyone have any tips or pointers on how to approach or what to watch out for? Thanks Jeff
  18. Yup, sounds like an ISV issue. I had that on my valver . Replaced the unit and its been fine since. Cheers Jeff
  19. Some of us still have Triumph Dolomites :lol Cheers Jeff
  20. Crikey, 2 spots in one journey Weds afternoon! A black J reg in Kenton, Harrow, followed by a white J reg in Mill Hill, I was in the yellow Dolly (never in the right car at the right time!) Cheers Jeff
  21. To be honest - I'm not much good either  Fortunately they've all been pretty reliable - well up to now but I've got a few things coming up to broaden my experience. Most of the required work has been welding. My father in law had a Stag, lovely burble, comfy ride but I've never been quite sure about the styling. Cheers Jeff
  22. My first stop for either of my Triumphs is Winns International in East Grinstead. Other places to try Rimmer Bros, Canley Classics, Spitfire Graveyard or a wanted post on Club Triumph or TSSC (Triumph Sports Six) websites. Cheers Jeff
  23. Hi, They're 15x7 (4x100 pcd) Cheers Jeff
  24. Hi, Am struggling to find the really right wheels for my Scirooco MK2! I've had P-slots and currently some Ronal RS8 (80's Audi coupe stylee) which to be honest just don't really do it for me. I think I have finally decided on either of the above probably preferably Estorils with optional Avus Snowflakes. The Snowflakes I think I have sourced but having been let down/ missed out on a couple of Estorils/ Le Castellets on the *bay, I thought I 'd put a wanted post up here as the Estorils certainly I think are more of a Rado wheel. So if anyone knows of some Estorils, Cash waiting, silver finish preferred Cheers Jeff
