sounds seriously sweet good to see that vr6 are being driven the way they were meant to be

I might know someone selling a turbo kit for a 16v, you will need to reduce the compression ratio of your engine to run a turbo he was making 235bhp in a mk2 golf
-
inspected it and car is off the road till the lines arrive, i just wanted to confirm that it wasnt a unique problem thanks

Hi guys, i have had a strange one at the weekend i knnow its not a corrado, but its a golf vr6 I use it as my everyday car and was driving in traffic on saturday, got a terrible smell of petrol and quickly got out to inspect The feed line to the fuel rail has worn through! It was rubbing off a line back to the back of the airbox but the flow ancd return rubber hoses are both worn through Has anyone ever seen this before? It is quite scary, and to add insult to injury i was into VAG today and they said that has to come from Germany and could be 2 weeks!! I am in Ireland and we have really really crap main dealers here anyone had this prob, its a bit isturbing

is there much hassle in doing this? I know i need a loom, control box, switches and regs, anything else? It is for a mate, so we want to do this as easily and cheaply as poss, does the passat system work?
-
no, its black, but thanks anyway
-
I have only just gotten my interior over from Germany for my 92 g60 The door cards are obviously the wrong way round, big hole in the wrong side and mirror switch also. How have people gotten around this? Is ther much work/cost in getting the holes blanked off? Thanks
-
really sorry to hear that! Generally creases in the body are bad news!
-
nice! but i have an engine in the process of being sorted!
-
thanks phat! Anyone on here got pics/spec on the site for their cars?
-
so for instance if i were to get a golf syncro shell and loom, i could use a lot of this as a base? All i need(like thats a small amount) is to get the mechanical parts :?: I see a trip to Germany coming into the equation! How does the passat underside compare to the corrado? COuld i use the passat syncro parts?
-
Cool, thanks The main parts needed are the rear floor and mounts suspension from a rallye/syncro mk2 right?
-
I am sorry to bring this up but, does anybody know if the modern 4wd system, like from the 4 motion etc will fit? This after giving me ideas for a car that needs a rebuild anyway
-
yeah, it is the electric pump, i used a copper plumbing right 90 degree bend till VAG had the new pump for me
-
I love that bodywork!
-
Lovely looking mk2! Well done! What the plan for the corrado? or is it top secret!

I am wondering what sort of systems people recomend. I have a 92 G60, the exhaust is kinda knackered, so i need a new one I want one that looks fairly standard in size and appearance and one that can be used when hung over 8) ie no serious sounds It is to go onto the G60 downpipw but will be getting a 4 branch shortly. Any suggestions??

Will check it out, its the dash/mfa/rev counter/fuel and temp guage circuit that goes

I have tried the search for this and no one has the same prob listed. The rear spoiler is not working. I have tried the radio loom, speed sensitive wire not connected. I am not getting any movement out of the spoiler, It blows the fuse and takes out half the dash with it, fuse 14 Any help would be appreciated, i have had to pull the wires out of the motor and switch so it cant blow things  Thanks
-
The button died in my one a few weeks back, check the fuse, see if there is voltage at the light, if neither its prob the switch
-
That is what i am using this rallye block for. I again wanted something a little different. Go for it!

Darren, thats what i wanted to hear! I am looking at 8.5x17's. I know i will have arch issues, but i want the wheels and the arches have to be roled anyway! Darren, do you know what sort of clearance he has between the caliper and spokes? Thanks

It does fit, it is the inlet pipe to the intercooler that hits the towing eye arm. It si very minimal and i rekon with some minor mods nothing needs to be cut back. Here is a pic i got off vortex a while back In the first pic the towing eye is gone As for the sprinter one, that will work with a turbo, because the piping comes from the back of the engine, on a G60 i feel it is too toght. Having said that i know of lots of mk1 g60's running that intercooler. I think that G man's old corrado ran a sprinter fmic
