Wow - sorry for the long delay. My sister in law lives in Cheadle Hulme so we could arrange pick up but I'd want to sell them with the door pockets and speakers really. -

Cheers for the link, you're right, doesn't look that bad. Any idea what that part costs now? Does ETKA tell you that too?! Simon

Some interesting software you've got there! Useful. Yeah that looks like it, looks like a nightmare - thanks! Simon

Sheee-it. That's a pain, was hoping to get my neighbour to just help out but don't think he'll be mad about doing that in the road. So is an old one fine to use or might that just crack again? Maybe brand new would be best? Thanks for your reply. Simon

Love that, was going to leave that post for a bit but checked it anyway and there you go - one helpful person instantly responds! Cheers...

Hello people - I had a leak recently from what I thought was the top hose where it meets the housing which is now broken. Turns out it's not the hose but the piece which my friendly mechanic neighbour unfortunately broke. Can anyone identify this and give me a part number if possible and any tips on fitting i.e does the bumber and rad need to come out? Thanks in advance, Simon broken_pipe.jpg[/attachment:2lq8oep7]

Can anyone recommend anyone in the City/Docklands area of London? Mobile or not. thanks, Simon

Is it possible to modify the ratios in the gearbox on a VR6 to increase low down torque? And would it be more cost effective and generally effective than a Schrick manifold? Would like to increase low down power without any visible mods. Cheers, Simon

Yeah i've looked into it loads, I saw a good method instead of the bar straight across the back which looked like it sat lower by about 1 centimetre or something, I'm 6' 2" so need them as low as possible. Did you do away with the existing Corrado front mount and bolt the runners to the chassis floor? My man was concerned about that as he said the metal's thinner there than at the mount, what do you reckon? I really do want to fit them but they've got to be safe. Did Snappy Gaitors agree that matching the fronts was possible? I don't know if you've mentioned how much but it would be good to know if you don't mind saying. cheers Simon

Has there been any news from the guy making up a kit to fit TT seats into a Corrado? I've got the seats but my man didn't want to fit them as he felt they may be unsafe. Cheers Simon

Hi Nigel - thanks for the description, it sounds like a very similar approach to the wiki guide - someone else did it a bit differently by having L brackets at the rear which allows the seats to sit very slightly lower. (I'm 6' 2") What you're saying about two mounts at the front through the cross member would presumably give a stronger connection even than the original's single point so no worries there. I think I might just keep them and try to find someone to do it for me as I'm not someone who can manage these kind of things! Couple of other things - my seats have alcantara across the back top of the seats and in the semi circles at the side, does that make them late ones? The rest is all lovely leather. Also - I can't seem to push the headrests down to meet the seat, do you know how?! Did you work out the heating electrics? Sorry for so many questions and diverting the thread but you've nearly convinced me to get these seats in, as long as it's done so it's safe! Cheers Simon

Hi - I've got some lovely TT seats like yours but my fella who sorts stuff on my car doesn't want to do them as he reckons he couldn't make them fully safe. How have you gone about fitting them? I assume you haven't used the original mounting point at the front? And have you retained height adjustment? There's a guy on here who's fitted his with two little hanging brackets at the back and a bar across the front which looks like it may not be as strong as the originals mounts. What do you reckon? Thanks in advance Simon

Funny- I too have a 94 Moonlight VR6 with BBS 16's and a Lhasa green Campaign Mk1 with BBS RM's - wonder what other points of fine taste we share?! My MK1's for sale but response is a bit slow... apologies if this post is a bit off topic! Simon Corrado pic is pre BBS

I always find it a bit naff when people associate erotic feelings and cars but I've been strangely aroused -
Ben - those seats look brilliant, a few questions: how did you get such good condition ones? How did you do the bases and do they adjust right down (I'm 6'2") do you know where I could get a set like that and even someone to make up the bases for me? Sorry for all the questions, the best answer would be that they're for sale! Cheers for your help, I may need to bug you for more info in the future... Cheers, Jinks

Thanks guys - those are very helpful answers. I don't actually know the offset but can of course find out. After reading your reply though Philuk i think i might leave well alone and just live with it. Cheers, Jinks

Hi - I've got some BBS split rims off a Mk4 golf GTI - same ones that used to be on the Mk3 anniversary but 6.5 inches instead. They've got new 195 rubber on them and are great except that the offset is too low (or maybe high?!) and they sit inside the arches a bit. Not too much but they're also pretty close to the calipers and without wanting to look like a kart of some sort I'd like to correct the offset with spacers and as it's going to cost i'd like to get the size exactly right so the tyres don't rub but end up sitting just inside the arches. Are there any clever wheel afficionados out there who just happen to know what spacers I need and where to get them from? Would these ones from ebay be any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALLOY-WHEEL-SPACE ... 0183656563 Thanks in advance! Jinks

Me too. I've got the 16 inch BBS splits from the mk4 golf with 195/45/16 toyo t1r's. Ithink the offset is 42 so they're extremely close to the front brakes and sit inside the arches quite a bit so look a bit toot at the moment - can anyone advise me on what spacers to use, it's not lowered yet either... Cheers

Sorry, this should have gone in general car chat but I've ballsed it up. Can a modrator move this for me? Ta. Jinks

I've had my Corrado about 8 months and it needs a 60,000 mile service. It's got a full stamped history and I want to keep it that way so can any forum members recommend a place to get my car serviced in the city/docklands area of London? Don't really want to go to VW, rather a really good specialist who knows VR6's. I live in E3 so local east end would be useful, places like Stratford and Hackney would be good too. I also need a new battery, currently a silver top Bosch one is in there, can anyone recommend one to cope with a moderate 1 amp and sub sound system? Thanks in advance for your help! Jinks
