Hi, where are you based? What sort of mileage has the charger covered?
Thanks
Rams
Im in Coventry - the charger was fitted April 2008 and I have covered just 6000 miles since - I have the MOTs to verify mileage etc.

Can't blame me for trying. Second dibs at 100No problem mate
Jim Bowen let me know if you still want this --- will price up postage next week if you are
-
take 80 for the fan setup?Jim Bowen has first dibs and £100 + postage is the price - a new 9" spal on its own will set you back £100 alone so with a 6.5" and the bracket makes it a good deal
-
Would you post the fans and bracket? The cars on the road till Sunday mainly for buyers to see the supercharger running so if you can wait till next week for delivery I will get you a total price. Thanks.

All parts are fully working and in good condition – I used quality parts, genuine and nothing cheap that breaks easy as I built the car for big power - I can prove this with the results: I achieved 430bhp/18psi at Stealth Racing before I rebuilt the engine.
I am looking for cash on collection as these are expensive parts and do not want them lost or damaged in the post. If it’s difficult to collect and we can agree on delivery, tracking and insurance etc. then I will try and sort something out.

Sick. 8) Its in my top 3 Corrados, looks mean and has something a little different under the bonnet from the norm. :salute:cheers mate - ^^^ thats just how i wanted this car and the power is better than i expected which is always a bonus
-
Momo monte carlo in 320mm is perfect in looks and feel:shrug:
-
what was the bang and jolt on the last run? did it miss or slip on the rollers or summot? looks and sounds awesome tho mate :DImpressive figures. Whole car looks very good.thanks
they were the first few runs it did fire a few flames at first when sorting the map on full throttle but adjusted timing & fuelling
just been out in it today definitley alot better lower down and picks up strong all the way to the redline
-
Finally got back to Stealth last week to finish mapping but only got a few runs as the alignment needed adjusting then the day got way too hot up to 28 degrees outside
Pulled a decent 409hp and can already see the torque its better lower down and comes in a lot sooner
With just 2800 miles on the new block should get better with more miles and hope to run it again on a cooler day
Next up a trip to Santa Pod now I can go full throttle here is a video on RR of the first few runs
-
-
How can it get any better?
Thanks Phil
The aim this year is to drive it more than work on it now everything has been done - looking to get on santa pod too 8)
-
Hey, your car looks great mate .. good job so far !Thanks mate remember to get yours on here should have some good pics where you are
-
Ah OK, I thought the axle bushes in the picture were VTs, but looking again they do look standard.Yeah they're expensive the VT ones. I kind of like the predictable rear end with the standards!
yeah all standard vag parts and rear arb should be fun but wont get to really test the handling in this weather and should feel alot smoother on full throttle
-
This is evolving into a seriously good Corrado :salute:It was good before though and you're continuing to do all the right things to it :D
I'm interested in how you find the Vibratechnics Rear axle bushes? Always been tempted by them. Maybe when they need doing again :norty:
Cheers Kev it needed sorting most of the bushes and the old coilovers were in bad condition
I installed standard vag rear bushes not vb but I did see them on ebay - pricey - but wasnt sure about them
-
...But this is how it looks today still driving the car through the winter until I got it sitting right, winding down a bit more each week
-
Set it higher at first just to make sure it was all good...
-
Fitted some decent suspension last month with all new bushes, wishbones, ball joints & drop links plus rear eibach arb
Needed doing as none of the bushes have been changed and the koni's coils were struggling after 6 years or so
-
Did you get a manual with yours
I downloaded the instructions from kw site when installing v3's its in english too

1.2 bar! Very nice.I simply daren't run that kind of boost. I have a bad paranoia about the gearbox blowing. It's done 180K now....
Good skills, as ever, Bobbi. Looking forward to seeing how she turns out after the mapping with your spec. You went of the Schimmel Big valve head as well?
I fit the bvh last year - made 430hp but then later started to get piston wear on my 125k motor so should i have done the lot in one go. I did rebuild gearbox with diff before going charged.
If a s/c can do that then just think the damage a t/c could do on a standard setup plus when it hits hard at low rpms so I can understand your running low boost
-
-
Any updates on this! Especially rr results.V. tidy car mate, I'm roughly following your footsteps so would be nice to know how things are going now.
Nah nothing yet as you know just sorted the suspension & drivetrain the car is completely different on kw v3's and new bushes so the power feels alot smoother on the road
I have fitted a another aux tensioner, belt & filter plus changed the dumpvalve setup and reclamped all the hoses - so its ready for another blast on the dyno just need to finish the mapping at full throttle
-
As long as the motor up to scratch, chains , clutch, engine mounts , fuel pump ,etcIt don't stop by just bolting a Turbo on , there lots of hidden costs you don't even think about.
Seen it run on the rollers already made good power for std engine & sounded really good - will be even better when finished
Shaun is right tho turbo will find all the weak points so save up
-
sorry i meant the clocks, but sharp answer mate :)no problem mate :D as above they do some neat stuff for the corrado http://www.dubdesignindustries.com/cata ... cts_id=251
-
Good luck with the dyno run. You'll find the block just keeps getting better with those Wossners. Oil consumption reduces a lot past 20K. Silkolene Pro S 10/50W works really well with those pistons I find.
cheers kev i remember seeing your wossners after good daily use so not got alot to worry about now - how much you picking the silkolene up for?
-
What a classy, neatly developed machine! :luvlove:looks the nuts, love it... especially the inteior :luvlove:nice one thanks... needed a good tidy but its just right now - got a 70mm pully but will do a power run on the same pully just to check how much the old pistons were suffering
