Any of you guys into detailing? There is a confusing amount of guff on the web, and sites like detailingworld are too vast to trawl easily, but I want to know the best way to protect my paint with the car having a full repaint in red. I have used clays in the past and would imagine that might help, but is there: 1. An order in which to do stuff? 2. A recommendation on products for each job? Cheers, Pete.

I'm the same, although I know people who have used the bodyshop I haven't before so always a little bit daunting. The wok they are doing there is frankly incredible though so I'm confident. They will do the rear badges in silver for me, black is ok but I find the black/red badges hard to read lol. Must be my age... Hoping it'll be ready next week but I'm happy to wait to be honest.

Car is going in tomorrow morning, and finally I've decided to stick to the flash red. All Ive done this weekend is ogle at tornado red Fox's, Flash Polo's and Brilliant red Audi's!!!!! Am I right in thinking the rear badges which look a bit tired can be sprayed up easy enough?

Needing a bump, car in for new paint next week so the lights would be the most urgent if anyone has some to sell?

It's booked in for next monday can't wait! Also been working on a solution for the rubbish heater illuminations. Can't give too much away in case it doesn't turn out that well but early indications are it looks fantastic, dims with the other lights and gives the same LED clarity you get with modern cars - has real potential ;)

Well to update the car should be going in the tail end of next week for it's respray, but I'm still umming and ahhing about swapping from flash to tornado or even the audi misano red... Also picking up some new seats this afternoon :)

Can't say I bought mine for classic reasons. I've bought cars costing 10 times what I paid for my VR, but it's my "Goldilocks" car and little else floats my boat in the same way. I think the spend to keep them tidy is no more than the money that you would lose on say a mk5/6 golf gti or R32 or a new scirocco in depreciation, in fact probably less, and I can see a result for my spend rather than having a car just losing hundreds every week sitting in the garage...

What tyres and tread depth are on them? Are the wheels curbed? My old 15" tyres have actually perished, thats how little the previous owner used the car haha!

Hi guys, I'm looking for a few bits and bobsready for my winter updates: - Mk2 Scirocco seat bases (or any seat base for that matter) which will let me fit some Ford Recaro's into the car at the right height. - Some winter wheels (steel or alloys whatever, 5x100) with tyres which are cheep (like the budgie). - Some red/clear rear clusters, again for not much money I hope lol. Right guys I need a bit of advice here. I've arranged to buy a pair of Fiesta Turbo seats for a frankly crazy £90 picking up on the weekend. But... The Fiesta seats don't seem to have seat belt clips in them like my standard Corrado seats have. Anybody know how the belt clasp fits to the seat/base/runners etc and if I can swap or add them to the Fiesta seats???

I think the price is pretty good they are rarer than a rare thing thats rare in silver (white is the norm now)!
