Minor update, car clicked over 80000 miles today!

Looks like we are onto the solution (I hope). The membrane seal on in both doors looked to be patchy at the bottom and the top window rubbers had been put back but didn't really push against the glass. Tried the hosepipe on it this morning and can't see anything so unless it's got anything to do with wind blowing the water etc I hope to have cracked it. Thanks for the advice!

Hi guys been looking again and during all of today's rain and sleet the car seems ok. Dehumidifier dried it overnight. Starting to wonder if it's been left With our ajar or seals out and got wet at body shop?

Hi, seems to be mainly in the front and in the centre. I just spent the evening taking the carpet up and it's the sound deadening that's wet. Can't feel much in the rear wells at all. The door membranes aren't totally sealed but the bottom of the cards etc is bone dry??? Not tackled the badge I got fed up in the end I'll look tomorrow. Sunroof drains look clear, and I made sure the windscreen seal is good. And other ideas?

Hi guys, noticed since the spray I'm getting wet foot wells. Any advice on where to check? I assume the idiot has painted over/in the gutters somewhere but I don't know where they are. Please help!

Hi guys, I noticed today the painter has damaged the little black plastic/rubber trim piece which sits between the door skin and the mirror base. Anyone got one to sell either with a mirror or preferably on its own or anyone know the part so I can ask vw?

Just got back from there via a curry, was really great show and to be honest I saw more cars I actually want to own than I probably would at a show of current model stuff! -
I had a Civic R in 2003 and put a BMC on back then but in the end I took it off and sold it on, the noise was just too much on a screaming 4cyl.

Still running the OEM exhaust though I'd be tempted with somethin fruity at the right price. I'll keep the strips off for now at least, they need cleaning up as we had to cut the foam pads off them but I could always fit them back later. At the moment though I really like it cleaned up :)

I've had an E36 and E46 M3, and while I tested an S4 and an RS4 they really didn't do much for me at all. I'd definitely have the BMW. Well actually I'd rather a Boxster Spyder and a £1k hack but I can't afford any of them haha.

Not sure but if you tell me what to look for I'll have a look around. Neither I nor the chap I bought it from fitted it and as he had it from almost new (it's a 94) I can't see why a VW dealer would fit an aftermarket. Mine only comes on when the lights are on and the door open, not when the ignition is off like some are describing...

Hmmm. Maybe I should pick up a spare set from the bay to try it out on (and potentially ditch if I ruin it lol)
