Dark blue/black in the Uplands Swansea early on Sunday morning with some deep dish euro wheels, and a black "storm" on the M5 south Sunday lunchtime...?
-
what brand are the tyres, and how much tread/wear is there???
-
Do you know where? I'll get the paint done first, then I think I'll finally tackle the suspension and exhaust...

Same boat as you Ruck, mine is working ok at the moment, but my old C had problems so I'm buying some resilience! -
I bought the rears simply because they were cheap and on sale for under £20 at the time. I have the fade up front though so they are probably barely on to be honest!

He said things like the slam panel and door jamb stickers would be really tricky to sort out and thought it was for the best. At which point I chickened out lol

Hi can you check the condition of the coilovers etc, and also the exhaust - is it full cat back or just back box etc? Also do you have the 1st aid box? If so 1st dibs please let me know price? Might consider having a few bits if you'd consider a bulk saving???

Right respray is inbound!!!!!!!!!! Had a tesco trolly scrape and bash last week so it's forced the issue (like I needed much of an excuse haha...) I've been umming and ahhing about changing to Tornado but the painter has pursuaded me to stick with the Flash due to the ease and cost.

My advice is regarding the crossovers. Decide where you want to fit them and look at the sizes before choosing your comp's. Some of the pricier comp kits have enormous x-overs which would take some fitting! I bought a set of Alpines and mounted the x-overs next to the mid behind the window switch (later cards). Some pics here... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?51423-Pete-s-VR-OEM-17-quot-Speedlines-are-on-(p5)-but-the-air-is-thin-at-this-altitude&p=723585&viewfull=1#post723585 This made it easier for me to use the standard cables into the doors as I really didn't want to pull them out and start fiddling behind the dash. I just scrapped the dash speakers, taped up the cables and to be honest I much prefer the tweeters in the mirror pods for sound.

nice colour and tail lights!

I think some clarions have colour changing displays, the cheaper alpines do too, but not sure on the aux socket
-
Very nice - white is one of the best colours for a corrado!

Have a look on here will tell you which bulbs you need. http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/custom_mods/bulb_finder/car_bulb_master.php They list the interior bulb as a 44mm festoon but dont sell them, but if you google it there are plenty of LED versions around.

Imagine the loss just on depreciation on a new scirocco compared...

I prefer the tornado on my workmates mk6 golf gti, but when mine is next to it to be honest it's hard to tell what the real flash red would look like anyway haha. Rams - I've tried machine polishing it, and used allsorts of polishes and stuff but it's getting to the point that rather than spending 3-400 on having the paint corrected which will never get rid of the deeper scratches, the odd parking ding etc I might as well invest it in a shiny new paint job.

Not sure on the corrado but I got a kit which were like for like swaps interior and number plate lights
-
I did it on my old m3 and it worked a treat

3600 purchase 120 service 40 mot 210 tax (I think?) 70 tyre on 15s 650 speedline 17s 240 tyres on 17s 200 coilovers 100 speakers and soundproof Total 5230 in 13 months but respray coming in next 2 weeks so will rise...

JUst prefer the reddy red of tornado to the orangey flash. Wouldn't make a big change as mentioned due to over spray or changing v5 etc.
-
Right chaps, I've decided to repaint the car completely as I've got fed up of trying to polish the faded, swirled and pink-in-places original flash red. I've spoken to my sprayer who's a VW nut and he suggested considering tornado red as an alternative. Any thoughts on this in terms of original v colour that was never on a 95 VR, and any matching issues as I won't be taking the engine out etc... All opinions welcome, good and bad lol. Cheers, Pete.
-
Hi guys, after a door as above. Preferrably within a drive of South Wales or able to post. Would consider other colours but prefer not to have to repaint. Cheers, Pete.

I think it also depends a lot on which C you have. I think the VR6 isn't a sports car personally, as it's too nose heavy and more of a German muscle car in my opinion. The G60 possibly is more a sports car, while the 16V's are more like hot hatches? My VR certainly mixes it with royal blue blooded sports cars. 2 mates with Elises and I used to do mega blasts when I had my 111R, and now I have the C I still take them on :) Not on track admittedly but on the real road it's pace at med-high speeds is enough to keep up no worries... Interesting topic!
