I have only ever used 3 brands of head unit... Becker, Clarion and Alpine. The Beckers are ace but look naff and are really pricey. The new Clarions look a little funny, but the sound and build of Clarions is superb. BUT! the best units out there are definitely Alpine's!

I'm 27 [28 in March] I've had my VR6 for 3 weeks!!! Before that I had a Civic Type-R brand new in March 2003. Before that I had a Rover 200BRM in May 2001. Before that I had my Mams 1L Micra!!! :wink: I also have a March 2002 Fiesta from new to run back and forth to work etc. :D

Unfortunately I will be shooting through there to Worthing on Saturday but I'll be back in sunny south wales in the evening. Can you guys give me any speed camera tips down that way [going M4/Newbury bypass etc...]?

Leave it, there are loads of C's out there with history for the money. Just don't be fussy on colour, spec and be prepared to travel for it!

My inside door latches and plastic surrounds are looking a little tatty, and out of place with the leather. How about those in CF? I'd buy a set from you!!!

I had one of these on my Civic Type-R. It sounds amazing, and with the CTR's 8.5k rpm it made a noise like a touring car. Should sound great on a VR6. Mine has a Miltek SS which sounds cool on it's own, I'd like to sample the BMC again on the 2.9!!! Power gains are harder to see, but with the CTR is didn't LOSE power, like the remote filters do. A guy with a Blitz cone was 30bhp down on a RR last year, while the BMC cars both gave figures near standard. I don't really think induction kits do a lot for your power, but they do sound yummy!!!!!

No, fine wine, I got it from Bath. It is UTTERLY showroom bodywork and the inside is simply mint!!! Apart from the poor mpg and the VR's lumpy idle, the car is perfection! :D :D :D

I have no dig camera so I'll borrow one soon after this fowl weather passes and I wash it!!! Trust me - it doesn't look so clean right now! :D

Yes it was on the web!!! The car has 94.5k on it but it's like new outside and in. 1 [millionaire] owner has had the extended warranty on it til Jan 03 and has spent on the car without hesitation. It really is the best example I have seen so far. I wanted a Storm and secured one over the phone for full asking price, but the guy said someone had offered hime more and I was not going to get into a bidding war. :( I was real;ly unhappy as the price had been agreed but I'm chuffed to bits with this one, and I think the white is really cool and different!!! 8)

My old Rover BRM was bottle green and had pillar box red leather!!! I thought it looked nice, but with the orange grille it was a bit OTT!!! I was young and impressionable back then! :wink:

Thanks again guys! The alarm is a CAT1 total closure thingy, while the sunroof runners definitely need greasing. It opens fine so I know the motor is OK, but when closing it judders slightly. The Box is nice and light, accurate too. Maybe I've just been spoilt by the Honda's 6speed... :D Car will be serviced in January so I'll ask about the popping then. As long as it's nothing to worry about I''m happy!

WOW thats a bit steep!!! I think the standard wheels are just fine then! :wink: They have some corrosion so I may just get them refurbished and powder coated black! Oh, and then slam it! :D :D :D

Thanks mate! I think the noise from the zorst is made worse cos its a Miltek. Sounds great though!!! :D The sunroof one is odd! I was on the motorway playing about and it would not ope [@80ish] I got off the motorway and it was fine!?!?!? Strange!

Are these available in a 16"??? I really like the style, but I'd like them a little bigger without spoiling the handling!

I got my VR6 this weekend and it's great! I prefer it to my old [new] Civic Type-R!!! Esp with £8k change!!! I have a few questions though... 1. The sunroof wont open at speed, but its fine round town. This normal? 2. The gear travel seems very long, esp compared to the Civic's 6spd? 3. The engine pops a little on overrun - I know this can damage the CAT, but can it cause engine failure???
