  1. Looks classy dude. That's what I like about Corrado's, when you do them good, they don't look dated.
  2. dragon green, I agree the brake master cylinder is a problem. When I was renewing my braking system (93 plate VR6) I wanted to fit a new master cylinder, but could just not locate one. One very helpful parts supplier showed me every one they had in stock and none of them was the right one! Even the VW dealer said I would need to take it off and bring it in to have it identified. Luckily, mine was fine so I just left it in. These pastparts.co.uk people may be worth contacting, thanks Tristan H for the link.
  3. Redfox, yes I've owned mine for 12 years. It's always been a second car so I've only done 30k miles in it since I've owned it, it now has 78k on the clock. I'll put up some photo's of it once I get hold of a camera (mine just broke!!!). Keep up the good work with yours, and I'll follow your progress.
  4. Redfox, your attention to detail is amazing and your car looks fantastic! You have inspired me to start cleaning/polishing my flash red VR6 to get it looking like it should ready for the summer. Keep up the good work!
  5. Hey Stella, not seen a Corrado before in that colour, looks good and the colour suits it well. Reading through the posts you seem to have done a fair bit of work since buying it to bring it up to scratch, but it's worth it !
  6. Purplebaghera - Luckily, I took off the Quantum mudflaps years ago before any rust developed, and I just had to touch up the protective paint on the wheelarch. I think I still have them lying around somewhere?? RW1 - The Votex ones look good, I had similar ones on my MK2 Golf GTI.
  7. Wesleyvr6 - Hopefully my first post here may be of help to you. I've owned my VR6 for 12 years and done all of the servicing/repairs myself. I had a similar problem when I overhauled/renewed my braking system (new front calipers, new complete set of braided hoses, new brake proportioning valve, etc) To get rid of the "soft/spongey" brake pedal I bled the system using Eezibleed in the following order: Calipers- Rear Right, Rear Left, Front Right, Front Left. I then bled the brake master cylinder in the old fashioned way by getting a friend to depress the brake pedal. Start the car and use the brakes which should work but with a spongey/soft pedal (NOT ON THE ROAD!! I went up and down my drive for about 1/2 hour). Turn car off and allow the system to settle overnight. Then repeat the bleeding procedure, and hopefully you will get a hard pedal and efficient brakes! I did not touch the bleed nipples on the ABS unit at all. Don't forget to make sure there is load on the rear wheels to ensure the brake proportioning valve allows pressure to the rear calipers. RW1 - Really excellent posts/information. I think I must have just got lucky that the ABS unit did not completely drain of all fluid, as I only found out about that potential problem sometime later!! I agree with you that care is needed when using the Eezibleed equipment and pumping the pedal too much.
