I think they could be the relays for the heated seats i.e. one per seat. Andy
-
Doh! I wonder if I can just get the LHD gas pedal cover then?
-
Yeah sounds good would like to see pictures. How did you manage to get the Audi TT gas pedal cover to fit. I found my gas pedal to be too big / wrong shape but I got the clutch and brake pedal covers to fit. I've also fitted an Audi TT gear knob (6-speed gearbox). Andy
-
Okay I'm interested in one for my RHD VR6 Andy
-
Yeah, I fitted these too. They go with the pins very well and look great against the black leather.

Try: trimsport.co.uk

Try Anti Theft Pins £10 from Trimsport - http://www.trimsport.co.uk. I fitted these to my C last weekend. They don't stick up much and are in totally smooth chrome so difficult to grab hold of. Look good too.

Sorry, I wasn't being clear. The electric motors are working fine. The Seats aren't heating-up. Andy

I've just finished fitting heated / electric Recaros but I didn't have the old wiring loom and had to start from scratch. I'm pretty sure they're wired in correctly though (i.e. as per wiring diagram). My heated seats aren't heating either. I get the click from the relays but then nothing happens. I'd be interested to hear common faults. Andy

I agree. The clear lights look great on the white / silver C. Whereas, for my Bordeaux coloured C I think I'll go for the slightly-smoked FKs - these seem like good value. Can anyone recommend side-indicators that will match these? Andy
-
Didn't know that but I suppose if the Corrado was a real success (in sales terms) VW would have taken measures to meet the emission regs. From my understanding, the C was VW's venture into the more luxury sports car market and the price tag reflected this. Unfortunately, the market wasn't prepared to pay that price for a car with a VW badge on it. It might have been more successful with 4-rings on the front! The C was most successful in the UK as we appreciated its understated design but it flopped elsewhere in Europe. IMHO, if VW started making it again then it would sell better this time as VW is now a more prestigous brand then it was.
-
Now you mention it it's obvious. My speakers are connected to new speaker wires. The wires in question must be VW speaker wires but are redundant so don't connect to anything. Bit of a dumb question really wasn't it!

I'm in the process of replacing front door cards.... I've found in both door cards 2 wires that go into 1 plug. I've no idea what they're for. I've got the windows working and I don't think they're for the mirrors. Can anyone advise? Andy
-
Sorry Chris, Simon at CMS: 01332 371819 P.S. Recaros and electrics nearly sorted now.
-
Chris, Any joy with the Vortex S/S braided hose? Andy
-
G60 Jet - Are those Audi TT pedals? If so, do all 3 fit easily? Andy
-
Yeah that's where I'm going to move it to this weekend. It will involve drilling through this rear screen heater switch unit to feed the 2 small wires through though - am I right?
-
I would say the latter because this donor car was completely original including speedlines, etc.
-
Yeah it confused me too. All I can say is that the cards did come out of a 94 car and were (I'm pretty sure) orginal. I guess is that whereas the normal Corrado leather interior got a face lift which involved moving the window switches, etc. the Recaro interior remained unchanged.
-
Believe it or not I'm doing the exact opposite - Installing a Recaro interior out of a '94 Corrado. Switches are now in the door cards rather than in front of the speaker pods. I have noticed that the plugs/switches are different but I hadn't twigged that there are more wires with this style. Can anyone shed light on this?
-
I'm well p**s*d off - lost the rear black plastic panel with number plate attached last night and now I've got to source one from the breakers! Chris, with the risk of sounding stupid: FPR? Andy
-
Chris, I would have thought red/clear in-pros on light coloured cars (especially sivler) and smoked on darker coloured cars like mine perhaps? IMO the totally clear ones are a bit much. Incidently, I had my Corrado at Stealth in January on the rolling-road. It produced 252bhp, which Vince said 'was about right'. To be honest, it doesn't exactly feel slow but I see vf-engineering claim 290bhp. Any thoughts? Andy
-
I know we're getting off the topic of in-pros (really like the smoked version by the way and wonder if they'd suit my Corrado's colour) - Chris - what is it you do for a living 'cos you sound very clued up! Ever considered fitting a boost gauge to your SC? I see vf-engineering make one. Andy
-
Chris, Did you find it necessary to unbolt the charger to polish it or were you just doing the visible areas? Sounds like a long job but I may get roung to it. Oh yeah, my old seats are with CMS in Derby. Andy
-
Chris, Your C looks class. Are those Kahns? Plus, did you do the polishing yourself I mean the charger and the inlet manifold, etc? Looks really impressive. Looking at the picture of my Corrado outside Pauls' house, I don't think I want in-pros after all - I just want some standard rear clusters in vgc. I don't like my rear cluster as they are at the moment i.e. colour-coded. Andy
