    I have read this not post by post but most of, I'm not interested in changing cogs etc or any in theory calculations just want a reasonably cheap straight forward swap. The more I read the more I see people have the CTN Box so this will properly be the way to go. Just to confirm this is out of the mk3 1.9 golf ?

    Edit: I also currently have a mechanical speedo will this be a pain for my clocks putting a mk3 gearbox in ?

    I'm not an expert please remember this! So my 4 gear is very uncooperative and sometimes my gearbox will hang me out to dry in neutral!

     

    Anyway i'm after a simple reason to the advantages and disadvantage if any to fitting a Mk3 gearbox, I know there are multipul choices. I.e CTN box have more acceleration less top speed Compared to a ASD box or just that they are a stronger gearbox.

    This has more than likely already been posted but I cant find anything soooo...... Is there quick fix for the main beam stalk dropping off when you click it ? E.g if you pull and hold it back the main beam is good but once you let go the main beam drops off a bit because of the stalk ......

    Thanks for replies! I didn't want to wrap because I wanted to do the front and rear pillars and I like the high gloss finish ( piano black finish ? ) Yeah I'll have to come out I'm in Salisbury at the moment but I work in Poole so I'm always that neck of the woods!

     

    I've only really got the car to a point that I'm semi happy with been a long project! I have a G60 that's recently been to Jabba for stage 4 charger plus head and air induction which is much fun! :D also just had a full exhaust system made from a friend now just all the small pain in the arse bits!

    So my idle valve has packed in so I ripped if off and plan on leaving it out. has anyone found a bung just to block it of from the inlet manifold ? at the moment I have a small bit of pipe if a wooden dowel in it..... :(

    has anyone fitted "Rota 16" Grid Drift" and have any pictures ?

     

    Also has anyone fitted "Borbet A Alloy Wheels" With 16x9" all around ? would this affect the turning circle to much etc. ?
