Has this got all the bits with it? (Pipework/adapter etc.)
-
Noticed the coolant level is a bit low so obvs going to top up, as I work for a major motor factors, was just going to buy a small 1 litre bottle of ready mixed to top up, question is, can you use G13 coolant? I know you need G12++ but the antifreeze at work is only G12 for the red so would rather be over than underprotected... Am sure its ok myself but just wanted a 2nd opinion

Dibs on the lights, if you could pm me payment details, will pay on Thursday

I'm guessing its just part of the joys of vr ownership =/ the cable I'm referring to looks like braided steel wire, connects to the bonnet and goes down into the scuttle, not sure of its purpose, earthing maybe?
-
Right, my vr seems to be misbehaving, popped a brand new Bosch s5 battery on it at the start of the month and its been fine, come to it today after maybe two weeks and it wouldn't even turn, just clicked and all the displays went off but came back when released the key Got it going with a jumppack and it seems to be fine, only a problem if left for a time it seems, can't see anything obviously wrong under the bonnet apart from the big thick cable in the corner of the passenger side of the bay appears to be broken, guessing that's not good...anyone shed any light on this and/or where to get a replacement cable from?

Jon94VR replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Hello Dave, guessing I need one of these kits for my drivers side as the handle comes away from the door sometimes when you try to open the door, have to push down with my thumb on the handle whilst pulling the opening handle, if you could PM details I'll sort it out -
I'd be interested in the blue one as am only after one to spray to match my blackberry VR, however I don't get paid till Monday, any chance you can hold till then?

Thermostat looks ok, had the car vag-com'd today as only had normal code reader on it, still throwing up the same error, though its saying open to plus on the intake manifold temperature sensor Had a look at the sensor and the plug barely stays on it tbh, as I work for ECP got one from there, but think I'll go and get a geniune one from VW and try that out, unplugged it for now as the fan was doing my head in! Luckily not using the car till the weekend so got time to sort
-
Quite loud, can hear it all the time, sounds like a hoover! Yeah it comes on when the ignition is on before the engine is started
-
Had the car vagcom'd the other day and the only thing on there was an intake manifold temperature sensor fault, so changed that and now the fan is on permanently, any ideas?

Quick introduction, I've been in the scene for a while now, am admin on Club Polo and have a 2001 Polo TDi as my daily but always had something else as kind of a weekend toy :D Had a mk2 scirocco which I dropped a KR 16V from a mk2 golf into and it looked like this: But it just wasn't fast enough! And wanted a Corrado for a while, with rocco sold to a dubber in NI, managed to find a 140k VR on Pistonheads for £1600 (pics from when I got home) Bay was what sold it to me, it is really as clean as it looks, electrically and mechanically the car was sorted bar intermittent clock problem and the abs not working, other than that, it was just the bodywork needing attention (wings, bonnet stonechips, the usual) So got work, replaced the abs module and the clocks which was fun(!) Also replaced the stabiliser links that snapped on me, along with the passenger CV joint as the link had sliced the boot clean in two when it broke Then G3'd the bejesus out of it along with a visit to MIJ in Walsall for a cat-back stainless system Few stickers as is my thing :bonk: Then set about deciding on wheels for her, as you can see from the rocco, I have a thing for rare/unusual wheels so settled on these Mk3 Scirocco fanblade replicas in a 16x7.5 flavour :D Also coupled to a set of FK Coilovers which went on this morning! Filthy as, bloomin weather! Left some provision to settle so should look quite tasty! Plus my estate is full of nasty speedbumps! Also looking like I'll be after some 10mm hubcentrics for the back Comments, ideas, discussions, criticisms all welcome :D

Can't make it I'm afraid matey, am away with friends in Wales up some hills! Though my VR needs a new CV joint before it goes anywhere, though it did get Sean's blessing at Inters

Is the headlight switch a late spec one? If so, I'll take it off you :-) -
How do? 8-)

Received the ABS module today, many thanks for that :) The clocks you've got for sale, have you got the loom that goes from them to the fuseboard as well?
-
Awesome, will defo be interested in the wipers at a later date if you've still got them, but really need the abs module, if you pm me details, I'll sort it out tomorrow when I get paid :-)
