Youd have had to have beaten me to it Phat!

Nice little fleet youve got going on there Si 8) I will answer Pete's Q to put him out of his misery, as I may be wrong but I dont think anyone got back to him over the arch issue :D Si's Golf is a G60 and not the G60 Rallyee which is the 4wd version with the square boxed out arches. The g60 edition ones like Si's one have got slightly deeper wheel arch trims than the standard mk2 Gti but its quite a subtle difference and one that is not always apparent from pics. Correct me if the tree im barking up is the wrong one but I hope that clears that one up for you pete? 8) Just need you to find yourself a nice little corrado now Si to finish that lot off!

Couldnt resist pitching in on this one!....yes I know ive been quiet of late but have had a lot going on but I wont bother boring you with the details, suffice to say the Campaign has survived and the A4 that was killed before Christmas has been repleced with an S3! So everyones happy (almost) except for my bank manager! So VW's ive owned. Custom Cal look 1969 Beetle (havent got enough room to list the mods on that one) Mk2 Golf Driver Mk2 Golf GTi big bumper (gorgeous....eventually!) Corrado VR6 storm mystic blue Audi A4 avant (now deceased!) Currently Corrado VR6 campaign Audi S3 :D so there you go

Depends if you want a VAG one, I had mine done on my Storm a couple of years ago and I seem to recall it was around the £200 mark! The good thing is I managed to get it covered by the extended warranty!!!! :D The only problem you may find is that once one element of the cooling system is replaced then the rest of the system will be weak in comparison (having all aged and deteriorated at the same rate), therefore you may find you start blowing hoses left right and centre as the system constantly searches for weak points. :( Just to warn you!

Cheers I might well check them out and have a look at some of their work! 8)

Phew! That was close 8) Could've been the Campaign  My thoughts exactly, mind you the campaign hardly ever leaves my sight unless I know its tucked up nice and safe! :) And if, god forbid, it had been I wouldnt be here now...... I'd be under lock and key using my only phonecall! :(

Im currently in Sandhurst on the Berks Hants Surrey border. Mind you given that its a campaign I dont mind paying that bit more and even travelling to get the job done properly. Mind you the guys in old Woking might be interesting and usefull too. :D When I had my custom Cal Look beetle I had that repiared by AJ lawrence in Portsmouth who were excellent and a good mate of mine who used to have a (heavily magazine featured!!!!) gorgeous Mk2 golf had all the work on that carried out by our mutal bournemouth friends! Cheers for all the info though guys I just need to have a good look around before I entrust someone with a paint gun in front of my car! Oh for the record I am now an Ex Audi A4 avant owner as well as some drunken muppett decided to crash into it on saturday night and write it off

Does anyone know of any REALLY good paint companies that can do a bit of touch up/ cleaning up work. Have got a Campaign that I need a couple of little bits done on hence they must be the dogs twitcher!

yep sounds like a dodgy hall sender unit to me! :( Thats the little sensor that send vital info back to the ECU. Not expensive though and not a difficult job and is a fairly common fault on VW's esp VR Corrado's :D
