    Wishbone bushes

I replaced front and back wishbone bushes, track rod ends and ball joints a few months ago. Bought them all from here http://www.vwspares.co.uk/ they were Lemforder or Febi. Had a nightmare getting one of the front bolts out as it was stuck solid in the metal sleeve. Had to eventually cut it out with a air hacksaw.

    Who's your insurer?

I just renewed my insurance yesterday. It had gone up to £153 from £126 with Adrian Flux. Rang LV classic who quoted me £128 when i rang Adrian Flux to cancel they matched there price. Standard vr6 limited to 3000mls.

    Door card trim

Need the plastic trim that the top of the door card fits into, drivers side. Its for a 94 model. Cheers.
  7. I reused my abs rings and have had no problems but i would order new carrier bolts as they will round off. Think they were about £3.20 each.

Hope these give you a better idea of how the sills are put together (built like a tank)The piece in pic 4 had to be removed and reused because it didnt come with my replacement panels which came from a 16v car maybe only used on vr's for extra strength. Its heavier gauge steel than the rest. I have loads more pics so just ask if you want to see any more. Bought the car in August 2012 never drove it till yesterday. Still loads to do but a least its on the road now and not in the scrap yard.

    Saving a storm

Save it. Mine was much worse than yours and just passed mot yesterday so got to drive it for the first time :) My rear panel was rotten and drivers sill because of a dodgy repair in 2009 when the car was written off. TBH the car should have been scrapped but i wanted a car to retore and keep me busy for a year or 2. I bought the panels from a forum member who made the cuts i wanted. You might find the inner sill is ok as there is 3 sections to sill and the edge of inner sill is strengthened. Tried to post a few pics of striped sill but failed :(
  12. Hi, Interested in both wings if my brother can collect them for me. He's at Potter's Bar which doesn't look far from you. I will try and contact him and let you know.
  13. Hi, is the rear bumper in good condition and does it come with bumper iron and the brackets to attach it to the body. Thanks
