I fit mine so it just slides right out with little effort (but tight enough to not rattle, slide around while driving). If some monkey has made the effort to break into my car, I'd rather they just took the head unit and didn't make a mess of my dash in the process. no point pinching mine as all the control unit is in the boot

once i push the clips up it slides out pretty easy,bit to easy for my liking though

take the fuse cover off and listen to the relays,maybe one has come slightly loose

theres a big list of insurance contacts on the forum somewhere,best off ringing around,and try and go for fully comp,you would be suprised how little more it will cost you

posting for a friend she ran it low on petrol,then filled it up,and it cut out twice on her on the way home,got it restarted,she then drove quite a few miles to a car meet with no problems,next day she went to work and back again with no problems,that when she was out in it at night it cut out and would not restart,she says its trying to start but just wont catch,the fuel pump is turning on,and she changed the filter but still wont start anyone got any other ideas to whats wrong with it??its a 2.0 16v

ive no problems with toyo,and they are fitted on evo8's so they must be pretty good

right,my central locking now only works when using the key,it used to be total closure but after a blown window fuse it hasnt worked proporly since..the windows used to go up as soon as i turned the ignition off,even if i turned the ignition back on they would still go up,but ive cured this by dissconnecting a block on the window control module,ive dissconnected the alarm completely to see if it was causing the windows to go up,but no difference,so that rules out a fault with the alarm,so anyone with any ideas as im going nuts...i keep leaving the car open as i forget the central locking isnt working on the alarm fob
