i was told not to always go by a compesssion test,as the oil scraper ring might be shagged but the other rings might be ok thus giving a good compression..or was he talking through his butt :?
-
mine sometimes does this,a carefully placed thump around the lock area while pressing the remote usually does the trick
-
legal to own illegal to use :?

best bet would be to get the frontend jacked up and get a mate to turn the steeering while you listen out for any rumbling noises, the engine mount would give more vibration than anything,
-
umm the rear engine mount is around that area
-
could be a worn engine mount

i used that zx1 stuff in my old 16v,didnt do that any harm and it went like stink, dont you find it weird that they use shell when servicing and not quantum synta, just looked back at the service records and shell has always been used
-
i use shell helix because thats what vw actually put in my car when it was in for sevicing,no where in the vw corrado handbook does it say to use quantum synta oil..just because vw sell it doesnt mean its the best oil for your car,you can actually get cheaper oil from unipart with better specs than quantum synta
-
so why dont some vw garages use quantum synta oil when doing services??when my car was serviced in a number of vw dealers they used shell helix
-
ill tell you now that everybody will say quantum synta oil,but as long as you get quality oil you should be ok,vw always used shell helix in my vr
-

for one thing struan.......i doubt very much if whoever did this.......did more damage to your wheels than the damage you have caused to them by letting brake dust bake on them for what looks like more than just a few days........IMO it looks like a few weeks of brake dust had accumulated on them   pretty sure the previous owner of the wheels wouldn't take too kindly to the state they were in........what you've also to got to remember too is that ppl aint grass's just because his wheels had brake dust on them doesnt give the right for someone to vandalise his wheels..i bet you wouldnt like someone writing something on your bonnet if it was dusty -
the carbon canister is under the air filter and not at the front or the engine with 2 connectors on it :?
-
sounds like your on about the oil filter, which on some is an element type filter
-
simple question really...will it work with windows xp?
-
