Just waiting on Luke here to fit the samples. He is being slack lol. If he hasnt by the weekend i will get them and ship to one of you guys to fit.
-
Thats OK, we have had a year of struggles getting new parts onto the website since we switched to the new one so it may have been a nightmare to find/search at the time. Meca are like us, a classic parts dealer so anything they can get we can also
-
From them being a classic parts dealer i am guessing you mean the genuine VW 50mm one. I cant see any other type on their site. We already stock this.
-
Hi, I chucked these at Luke here last night to fit in the end, hopefully he fitted them last night, Will keep you guys updated
-
Mk3 ones fit :-)
-
The samples have arrived! Need a fitter, first person to pm me their details gets them. Only condition is that i want them tested fitted within a week of receiving them. Sooner we approve or give feedback the sooner we can get them made and in stock.
-
Samples are now in the UK, hope for them to arrive on my desk this morning. I shall need someone to test fit i expect,

Thanks, always nice to hear. We do try our best and do understand that some parts can come across expensive. I was more refering to classic parts. Sometimes alot of people think its cheaper to order direct but its usually not.
-
£29.50 plus VAT (£35.40) from heritage with free postage if your order is over £35. This is in fact cheaper than classic parts and with no postage from Germany. (everyone always says bad things about us being expensive)
-
we use them for all orders from the USA for sea and air shipments but the way they work with duties etc i dont think we could import for other people, they would have to come here which means going onto stock. Put some figures together of what you would be happy to pay and when i ask about the splitters i will ask the costs on them. We obviously have to make a certain amount here to cover the costs of getting it though the door and onto the shelf, shipping and storage.
-
Thanks for the input. I have to ask - what woulod you be prepared to pay for a fibre glass wings set or a CF wing set? It can be looked at when i do the splitters but my fear is that they would be too expensive and we wouldnt sell them. We use a freight forwader for out shipping so that part is the easy bit for us.
-
We are going to look into spoonfeds splitter at VW Heritage and try to stock it. I know both the chaps here with Corrados are looking to order one each and from what i hear the shipping is pretty pricey. We can only get the 50mm now currently

We do one of these at heritage https://www.vwheritage.com/wc941w000-headlight-wiring-loom-upgrade-mk1-2-golf in fact we have just improved ours making the wiring and joins better. It does have 15amp fuses though although if people say its better we could swap to 20amp no problem. Ive had no reports of them blowing so far.
