Hazel Grove next to the railway line and near to the station the other week I spotted 2! Yes 2 Corrados parked up next to a unit . One blue one Blackberry , went past yesterday and Blackberry one wasn't there , and I still haven't passed another Rado in mine in over 2 years of daily driving !!

BlackBerry VR on the hard shoulder on the M5 near Gloucester with I think a Northern Ireland reg? I was being driven in a company car the VR came past a little later so must of just been taking a breather ! Also Sellafield Reprocessing Plant a black 16 V I think seen it on car park a couple of times and saw it driving out on Wednesday, again in a company car. I have yet to see another Rado on the road whilst driving mine! It's lonely out there ! : )

Another year done , another service at Awesome just clocked under 10000 miles for the year . Needed new rear discs had Brembo discs and new pads fitted , also whilst in for service had brake fluid replaced , whilst settling the bill saw a Johny No Cash air freshener quite apt after paying up so bought one : ) .

As long as guys are scrapping Corrados because they are worth more in bits how can values rise significantly ? Where is the love and regard for the model with all the scrapage going on ? Also sticking non standard engines in isn't saying mutch for the breed is it ? You won't find Porsches being scrapped and fitted with different engines from entirely different models will you ? Low miler pampered examples will carry a premium but I,m afraid to many have been sold cheaply to young lads and they appear to be throw away cars at times , even VR,s are seen as engine donors for Mk 1 and 2 Golfs . It's a real shame because for me Corrados are on a different planet to what came before them from VW but they just ain't cherished / appreciated , dosent really matter its not affecting my enjoyment of the car but I won't be selling mine cheaply not that I have any thoughts of passing it on anyhow !

How good did it look on the go cart track ! Don't know what the viewing figures are like for this show but would wager there are some more fans of the Corrado after tonight , feeling lucky I own one which can't be bad

Looks superb a wonderful advert for the breed .

http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/blog/3/entry-3-volkswagen-corrado-vr6/ This guy in The States reckons there are only around 1060 Corrados liscenced / registered in The World ! Anyone confirm or disprove this ? Seems low to me ?

Yeah co pilot handling the media device ! Impressed with the mileage's you guys clocking up , maybe 200,000 is the new 100,000 ? Mines a daily sometimes racks up 400 miles a week , just done 200 at the weekend on a trip to The lakes throwing it round some twistys on the fells and cruising at 80 mph on the motorway . VW nailed it with The Corrado

Yeah Sean its been looked after for 20 years it would be remiss of me now to let that slip . It's next service is due in October or 102,000 all those things you mentioned are big bucks at a specialist last time I priced it when I had a Golf VR6 . I didn't do it on the Golf because the overall condition of the car didn't warrent the outlay. This VR deserves the treatment so guess I will dig deep in the pockets !

So my 95 VR joined the 100,000 club today , back in the day this used to be an impressive total and generally meant the car was near enough life expired. Not sure how the milestone ranks these days ? Its a 20 year old car but obviously a high end product for the mid 90,s but still worthy of merit I think ?

Some advice about selling my 1995 Blackberry VR6
JD Westy replied to j_s14a's topic in General Car Chat
Those two on e-bay the first seems a good car but highish mileage probably a little cheap . The second in the description it says little rust! I wouldn't touch a Corrado with rust ! I think sometimes what hits values with these cars is when they are second cars / weekend toys / projects and someone wants a quick cash injection they price them to sell quickly . I do think they are undervalued but the market is at where's it at . I wasn't looking for the cheapest I was looking for the best there will be guys out there with same mindset -

The fact they are thin on the ground will surely help and colour and interior as you say are the most desirable but then I would think that -
Some advice about selling my 1995 Blackberry VR6
JD Westy replied to j_s14a's topic in General Car Chat
Interesting My VR is very closely matched to yours in lots of ways 100,000 4 owner and very very tidy with full history and electrics working , BlackBerry and full factory leather. Mines stock however. It was priced at £4300 two years ago when I bought it I paid £3,800 which I thought then was top of the market at this time it was on about 84000 miles. It was the only Corrado I looked at so I don't know condition average C,s are in in the less than 3k bracket ? I think prices have fallen away slightly lately so wouldn't know where to place a value on it or yours. Even the conservative £6500 someone's quoted seems a bit high to me . But I,m far from an expert on C,s but a sorted example with non of the niggles you would expect would carry a premium over whatever else is for sale in The Corrado world at the moment. -
Nothing to report ! Is this normal ? 8000 miles since its service last October at Awesome GTI and as I drove home today with the sunroof wide open and all other electrics working and the car cruising between 65 - 85 mph on the motorway returning 36.9 mpg using V- power I thought to myself what a fantastic motorcar! With regards the sunroof I use it everyday either open or at least tilted my thinking being its the best way to ensure its continued faultless operation. I have a theory some of the issues guys encounter with their C,s is lack of use. Mine is a true daily driver and I think I reap the rewards any thoughts on this from the long term owners? I still plan on lowering and changing the wheels but everyday ownership is currently an absolute dream .

If it doesn't clash with anything aircooled I would be happy to attend VR6 Wigan
