  1. And you managed to make your post here at 6:07, thats pretty impressive. Did you squaddy wash? :-D
  2. Nick, did you purchase the AKs from that Onix shop on ebay? I am about to put 7.5x17 RCs running 205/40s on them. I think it will look soooo high that I will be forced to lower it (dam!) Trouble is the RCs are gonna wipe me out so I need a real bargin for suspension. Comfort is essential (more than track performance) ideally I want an even gap around the arch (I think this is 40 mm drop, that right?) Wondering also is the extra £70 is worth it for the highsports...
  3. That sounds is amazing, one of the best engine notes I have ever heard... love it! good work.
  4. and slightly brighter too..
  5. I don't know what your talking about, but I am scared for Nick....
  6. Sorry again to bump post up again but... Volkskraft @ Lincoln have done my 80k service leaving me very happy indeed. The stamp its far better that the stealers one and still has the logo. It drives so much better since the service with new plugs. Gained about 2 or 3 MPG too. In conclusion, FVWSH will actually cost you dearly in the long run IMHO.
  7. Hi, I have had a small problem on my storm since the day I got it but always assumed it was just one of those things. Today I decided to post about it here to set my mind at rest...or not. When slowing down e.g. in a crawling line of traffic, if I am just on the throttle a tiny bit then back off to slow up even more it seems to just cut off. Almost like there is nothing between 700 and 1300 rpm. Is this something that can be fixed, or just one of those things? Hope that makes sense, hard to explain, thanks in advance.
  8. The TomTom 500 and 700 also have bluetooth connectivity to your mobile. Gives you touch screen access to you contacts and provides handsfree. As I could do with handsfree I am really tempted.
  9. WD40 is the easyiest, Gunk is great (but if you have a tarmac drive wash it down well as any gunk will start eating it!) Washing up liquid I thought was a no go as it has salt in it and hence is corrosive.
  10. I think I have something like that in the bottom on my blender...
  11. No? I wonder who has.. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/evo/news/5 ... _enzo.html Sounds like an impressive beast, but why? I just don't understand other than the fact "because they can".
  12. That price will drop like a brick. Once I was staring a a £2k bill for C VR6 insurance at 21!, @ 27 I pay £375 :-) As a rule of thumb if an insurance company quotes you over £2k they are trying not to take your business and want you to go else where. Make sure you join the Corrado Club, then tell your insurance company at renewal (should give you 5% for car club membership as you are seen as a enthusiast and less likely to drive like a Twonk) Also try for limited mileage if your not doing 12,000 PA. Being insured on other cars (family's) is also ace.. class it as "regular access to other cars". Make sure you try Adrian Flux and um...dam forgotten the name of that Corrado specialist insurer...anyone? Anyway, enough of the insurance babble... Your C is looking sweet, I am really lovin the smoked lights against the red. paint work.
  13. Green (dragon green maybe) K plate valver; young lady driver taking a good quick line through the A46/A57 roundabout a lincoln (north bound). Exchanged Waves as waited to join the roundabout.
  14. Any idea when they will make the detectors illegal?
  15. My Storm has just been collected for its 80k service (with Volkskraft). Please join me in a short prayer for its safe and in-expensive return later today :-)

  18. Mine has the same problems, can go maybe 50-100 starts without fail and then it will be a pig to start! Local grease monkey VAG COM'd it with nothing showing at all. They said they needed it to go wrong while they had it on the vag com but it didn't.
  19. I too am thinking of lowering but was umming and ahhing regarding preservation of originality - but the car looks as though its on stilts!!!!! You can always undo it to put it back to the 4x4 look. I am yet to do anything to mine either but its just a matter of time now...it just has to be lowered (just not sure on what kit to buy)
  20. thank god the rado is such a smooth ride :bounce2:
  21. I just hit 77777 yesterday. biggerbigneil, not sure about that mid 70s theroy. My old VR was more gutsy than my current one (as I remember it) and it was around the 115k-125k mark.
  22. There are some offences in company cars where the Company MD can be held responsible, e.g. If a company car was un road worthy and the driver/passenger died the MD could be charged for manslaughter. With a speeding fine it has to be the driver thats charged full stop. If unknown then no prosecution.
  23. Corrado, Dark in colour, possibly blue. Low with 17s, mid sunday afternoon on the A57 near Lincoln going west to worksop. Exchanged waves.
