  1. CraigOwl, you the accused then? Not that I agree with road racing, I did acelerate from a roundabout on a dual carraige way with my boss in his Boxter S behind, even though we were 4up (on the cummute to the office) he said "I showed him a clean pair of heels". A result that surprised me.
  2. wow, I need me an engine conversion like that ;-)
  3. I think I missed the renewal too, or at least not heard anything from them in ages! tried to email the contact on the site, never had a response :-(
  4. Wow, thats cool. Was that not from the Duke film? sounds like "Cut" echoing in the back ground. Would be odd that everyone stayed out of the right lane? In the UK someone would pull out in front of you!
  5. Sorry to hear that, pics please (sorry to be morbid)
  6. Just Spotted a Green Rado on A46 Lincoln (Northbound) at 8:05am, exchanged waves and flashes. Didn't notice much else as the bloke in front of me just sent a tab skyward aiming for my paint work!
  7. did you get chance to post your list of bits you required? if it was on another thread I missed it. I am sat looking at the pics of you car, with another eye out the window at mine with a strong urge to rob a bank!
  8. I moved this week and I have gone from having a 16mile twisty run to work to a 32 mile mainly dual carriage way run. My VR has gone from 300mile per tank to more like 400. I have now also reduced to 75mph and I think I will push it to 450mile a tank. My approach to driving speeds is that 20,30,40 and 50 are 'limits' for a reason, breach of these laws should result in being penalised. If they are breached near schools in school hours you should be shot IMHO. I have a problem with the "national limits", the dual/motorway limit is just a throw back from someone getting pi$$ed about a bloke gunning it up the new A1 many years ago and they should be re-considered on a road by road basis, and depending on driving conditions.... the trouble is it won't happen, there is no discipline on the UK roads. On the autobahn's people gun it everywhere..if there is a 40 limit due to roadworks everyone slows to 40..not that hard is it? It is a long long long way from acceptable for this guy to exceed the 30 limit so badly when not in an emergency. The 159 he hit if it was empty I would probably let him off as he only endangered himself. The fact in one 'session' he ragged it all over on many roads makes me think he was just playing about, not testing so he should have been punished. And if he was testing, did he fill out a test report? or was ordered to Test? Do the engineers a Vauxhall not do the tests already? ..my 2p over.
  9. You need to to save up and get your private road modified to a 'M' Class, then you only get slip lanes and no roundabouts :-P
  10. I hope to have my Storm resprayed soon. Hope it comes out like yours did! How much was the rest of the trim to buy? Do you have handy list to hand of what you needed to get? I was expecting a bill of £2k for everything, looks like I will need twice that by the time I replace the wheels and lower it.
  11. I was heading in the same direction as you, the rado I saw turn into a side road at bracebridge. Lincoln is pretty local to me, even more so on Monday as I am moving there!
  12. Sounds like hard work to me, would you need to fit a hotpoint switch with letters on it... Nipping to the shops is spin cycle K?
  13. In my invinite wisdom I decided I may aswell leave it off until I get another one thinking that the air flow in the footwell would be already mixed with warm air from the matrix. How wrong was I.... I am still shivering from my sprint to the office this morning. going to put the old one back on now.
  14. I have tested the switch and its fine, and then tested the multiplug, and it seemed to be outputting the different currents. Then I tested the power lead from the resistor pack to the fan which was stepping the power up as I cycled through 0-4 on the switch. At which point the fan spun up in my hand and nearly took my finger off... if I manually spin the fan it will spin for a while, but rough, like the bushes have gone... So I am looking out for a new fan, anyone have one?
  15. Ah, cool, that explains that little noise...
  16. After weeks of not seeing another rado I saw 3 within minutes of each other yesterday. About 2 ish on Lincoln High Steet, Blue Valver "DHA 1R" . Few mins later, Purple? rado, very tidy, BraceBridge Heath near lincoln. then a few mins later a Red K plate, possibly a G60, custom grill and eyebrow spolier, Lendenham on A607
  17. I have removed the fan and the resistor pack but it all looks ok to my un-trained eye that it (nothing burned out or hangin off) Can I test the multiplug for current to see if the problem is towards the switch? Or should I remove the switch and take a look...if so how do I do that?
  18. Was a quiet hum, constant, no matter if fan is on 0 or 4.. but I think its in the engine bay, like a pump or something? I will try and drop the shelf..is it easy?
  19. Mine just stopped too out of the blue at the weekend, just checked the fuse (handbook says 30amp in slot 6). Dead on all speeds. If I have the ignition on I can here a faint hum until I pull that fuse out then all goes quiet. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.
  20. I played the demo yesterday...its OK, but thats about it. I would agree, XBOX live is what its for. Everyone I saw playing it got really fustrated at how hard it is to handle...they didn't work out that you need to actually break for the corners... I will be interested to see what mods you can buy for the SLC.
  21. Is there really a rado in it???
  22. If someone does have tape i can encode and host the movie.
