Sweet thanks mate. Dose VCDS (used it on my old PD130 bora) work if i get an obd1 cable to read fault codes (if any) and to log lambda's etc?
-
Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong section. Im just wondering if somebody could tell me if my 2l 16v 9a rado is obd1 or 2? and where the plug is located. Thanks

Looking forward to getting stuck in, After all of the above should be a really spot on car. Then when i get bonus at end of this month it needs a cold start valve and steering rack then its ready for a few little mods :) Get the base car spot on first though! 240 miles done in it already, not missed a beat, great car i must say bar its few age related issues (leaky rack and cold start issues)! -

Knew id spell schmidt wrong! lmao, but yeah lovely wheels, see what comes up when i have money, first things are to give the car a really good service and once over, needs brakes, alternator (preventative maintenance) and definitely needs a battery. -

Cheers dude, And yeah jonny i would have but they where 18's so far to big to stick under a rado, but want a similar style. I'm under the impression that 2.0 9a is 4 x 100? and they where 5 x 100 so wouldn't have fit (i don't like adapters) -

Yeah i live in the sticks tbh mate, will try some philips power x-treme bulbs first. As for lowered cars i know the feelings i had a slammed bora before. -

HAHA at the above "run into the back of someone". As for mods, i plan to get some nice coilovers on it and some 16" deep dish wheels but then leave it alone really, maybe some of the leather seats with the bulge in the back. Anybody have any info on the TT headlight and wiper mod's as i hear the rado has poor headlights and wipers! -

Thanks guys, looks like vr may be abit to fuel thirsty for me unless the 2.0 16v is of a similar usage ill probs go 4 pot :( shame as the 6 sounds great! -

Thanks dude :), mpg dosen't mean all that much to me haha, so if you where to put 20quid of fuel in or 30 - 40 whatever you know how many miles would you get mixed driving? thanks again -
Hi there, Im new on here so hello everybody. Just sold my vw bora and am now searching for a corrado. Right my questions are, 2.0 or vr6? Fuel economy difference? (can somebody give an example like £20 of petrol will get you x miles in vr and x miles in 2.0 9a doing town driving etc would be good) Reliability? Also when vr's go wrong are they ALOT more costly to fix? Really need some answers as i can insure them both and this cash is burning a hole in my pocket! Thanks
