  2. Guys I have a question here, there are the parts below that I intend to replace on my VR6 next Month just to be on the safe side! Parts Needed for Engine Maintainence 021 109 513 Slide Rail 021 109 469 Slide Rail 068 198 171 Oil Seal 021 109 465B Lower Chain 021 109 503A Duplex Chain 021 109 467 Lower Tensioner 021 109 509E Chain Tensioner Rail MK3 Golf Part 021 109 507B Chain Tensioner Bolt MK3 Golf Part N 013 8271 Seal for Bolt Question 021 109 503A Duplex Chain is used in the Corrado, and Duplex Chain 021 109 503D is used in the later MK3 Golf along with the later type tensioner. Should I be using the newer chain since I am opting for the later type tensioner??? I am a little concern about this one.....
  3. yup, my water temp is about 85 cruising and 100 stopped in traffic. Oil is always around 104 degrees She has been like that for the last 2 years that I have owned her and never looses coolant either. once my thermostat stuck closed and she went up to 110degrees coolant! eek! once replaced all was well again!

  6. I haven't gotten mine yet either but Josh did make a special one for me in size small scoop neck for my lady and she loves it! It was sent priority airmail and I had it in just 4 days or so. Great job too, can't wait to get her to wear it to the pub! he he he
  7. Welcome John! This is "the" Corrado forum. Where in Ireland are u? I'm in Sligo. Don't suppose thats ur C I've heard about around town? Cheers DaveB
  8. Sorry KieranD didn't see you mate but it was me u saw alright! I am slow as a slug at recognising people on the road! @ Stevemac! I really value u opinion dude. You have always guided me toward the light on all matters. And I reckon u're a double hard geezer too! :) I'll ask Morgan where he got the skirts. cheers for all u're comments guys, as I said it was a mate that modded his C and it defo isn't mine. She'll remain standard except for the H&R coilovers for good! Dave
  9. Jeez, Poor Morgan, can't tell him about this thread now....poor dude will be heart broken  thanks for the input guys.... I'm gonna keep mine just as she is!
  10. guys, can you take a look at my mates Corrado with his new bodykit. http://cars.vage.ie/invision/index.php? ... 80956a29b2 I think it looks good, except I'm not too sure about the rear of the car. Hasn't gone down too well with the Irish Vage guys. Wondered what u pure blooded Rado boys think of it? cheers daveb
  11. Ok, so you have the gauges. All you need is the 10 bar pressure sender from Street style and Power, Part no. V360023 @ £36.50 See Page http://www.streetstyleandpower.com/publ ... adPage/206 Many thanks to MoonlightVR for the info above. This sender has both contacts required as you'll be replacing the oil pressure sender on the right as you look down on top of the oil filter housing. I thought the sender was quite expensive but it is original VDO kit and not a cheapy copy. I could have got a draft42design sender for 30 euros, about half price but opted for the real deal instead. @ Crazymarcel, Yes in that photoI hadn't yet got my pressure sender  Its wired up now and a healthy 2 to 3bar rating
  12. Got all working now. Got my 10 bar pressure sender yesterday, didn't need to use the T piece either or any sealing washers. The sender has both the gauge contact and low pressure warning contact and the bolt was tappered so self seals. Had no problem runnning a wire around the engine bay and in through a grommet just above the pedals. Easy peasy! Now my engine runs at 6 bar first thing in the morning and after a 10min drive shes stable at 2 bar and when I give her the shoe we go up to about 3 1/2 bar. All I need do now is keep my eyes on the road and not on the lovely needles moving around.....
  13. Ok, heres the story so far... All is connected up except the oil pressure sender. You need to remove only the ash tray to get at the wires needed. I don't have the 10 bar pressure sender or T piece so I'll get to get one and then run a wire from my gauge through the bulk head. Have to wait another day or two, damn I've no patience. Have any of you other guys got the 10 bar sender and T piece? Any help with exact part numbers would be great. VW do not have the oem ones anymore. cheers dave
  14. dude here in Sligo Ireland has one. Young lad about 19....not an enthusiast more boy racer but hes sound all the same. i reckon she'd be a write off in a few months. Perfect paint job by the previous owner too :(
  15. sry mate but u'll never please everyone all of the time :) just make me a few of VR Six Driven, with high maintence on the back, and of course the Corrado forum logo on the side and I'm a happy camper :) but would prefer VR6 text too, sry!

  18. Half installed my gauges last night. Out in the snow with me arse up in the air and the under belly of the dash taken off!!! the family thought I was mad but I was dying to see what they look like. Anyways, I do not have the Pin connector jack plug behind my console. eek! Ran around old MKIII golfs and found same 4 pin connector in the roof liner for the lights switches! nice one sorted! 4 pins, oil pressure, 12V ignition live, 12V dash lights on, earth. found earth and dash lights on spare spade connector behind console. hooked up and lights up lovely with green backlight and is adjusted by dimmer switch! 12V igintion live is used for volt meter and have just to plug into one. oil pressure feed, according to Bentley is T1F, spare connector behind relay/fuse box. Found 4 and have yet to determine which one is my oil pressure signal. But all look goods and of course my batteries were dead last night in my camera so will get some pics tonite!

  20. look guys, I'm in Ireland and don't deal with anyone in Germany apart from VW directly through my local VW dealer. search http://www.goldenpages.ie for a VW garage and give them a ring with the part number. My local Garage here in Sligo is small, and they don't have the ability to deal with overseas customers. (I already asked them if they minded if I posted their phone number here) Ring any of the VW garages you can find on there and see what they have to say about getting that part. As I said it will show up as a true part if anyone here has used the VW ordering system and all u need do then is place an order with VW. cheers Daveb
  21. * * * 536 919 527 * * * Corrado Gauges! Recommended Retail price from Irish VW Garage is 140 euros, that is 97 pounds sterling. Thats the recommended price, it can be got for less!
  22. * * * 536 919 527 * * * Corrado Gauges! That is the right part number and any dealer that says he can't get it is a lazy sod! There is a special order process and all the dealer has to do it fax through an order form to Germany. Its pink tell him! I've seen it! They will repsond within a few days and confirm its availability.
  23. Part Number on unit ordered from VW is! "536 919 527" Defo the right part number and the right fit for later dash right hand drive! It should come up as a right part number now when the VW garage do a search for it. Before I ordered mine it came up as an incorrect part now it shows up as true!!!
  24. My local Vw Garage emailed me this Pic this evening! Got it in brand new from Germany this morning!!!! Genuine article in the box from VW. Gonna go out there now tonite and fit it! Fliping class, special order and took 2 months but worth the wait. Right hard drive gauges!!!!!! ***pic resized & thumbnailed - stevemac***
