Yeah they look like that one in the pic yeah - it's got the 4x100 holes, and then the 4 smaller holes in the 5 pattern fitment, but one of the holes is a joint hole as such, as it looks like it is used for both the 4x100 and 5x100 bolts a "shared" bolt, or as you put it Chris, the Long Bolt. :)
-
Ahhhh that's a LOT clearer - although I have only been supplied with 4 bolts per adapter, and if I only use 3 of them to fix it to the hub, and 4 short bolts to fix the wheel to the adapter, where do I get the long bolf from? Lol?! Such a nightmare and I haven't even picked my wheels up yet!! (I also have to try add camber shims to the rears which will be fun!!)
-
Thanks Leon! That makes a lot more sense than some of the crap on other places I've read - just confuses the hell out of me haha!! I feel I may need short bolts, and the 5 holes are pretty small :/ I thinks maybe this will have to be another expense! Wish I'd have just gotten VR brakes now lol! I've already got a full G60 set up though so shame to not use it

Hi all, I have bought some new wheels (Kerscher Carmonas) :D, and they are 5x100 fitment, but my valver is 4x100. I have bought 2 sets of 15mm pcd adaptors to make the wheels fit, however I have never done anything like this before... How would I go about fitting the adaptors to the hubs, and following that, the wheels? I think I have figured out how to fit the adaptors to the hubs, but then it wouldn't look anything like it does on the box  lol! Any help would be appreciated! :afro:

Nice tip with the foil :). A mate said I should spray my wiring with WD-40 to protect it from water damage too...
-
Oooo I love a how to guide :). Give them a look on the web buddy, they're really good value imo too - the iron x stuff they do is only £8 a 500ml spray, I started using it a few weeks ago when he developed it, and it made a massive difference to how clean my wheels looked (they're grey anyway so it's hard to make them shine). Combo'd it with some wheel wax and they're now really easy to keep clean :)

I have started using products from a local company who make their own stock in house. They're from Wakefield, Yorkshire and their products are the best I have ever used. I have a full range of their gear now and gave all my meguiars etc away! They do an Iron X type spray called Extreme Stance Iron contaminant remover. Works a treat - it does still stink, but it's PH neutral and can be used on wheels and the body work. If anyone is interested in testing out any products they apply a "try before you buy" attitude. They have a website if anyone is interested in looking into it http://www.inspired-automotive.co.uk (nothing like promoting small local businessed ;)). And they're really nice blokes too!

Ahh yeah cheers mate - I just basically want to clean the majority of crap off the bay and the main parts off the engine. Not bothering getting balls deep on it as it'll only get dirty and oily again! Just for shows and meets really so I can pop the bonnet and show what's under the hood!! (20vt :))

Hi all, I'm wanting to clean my engine and bay sometime in the future (preferably before VW festival) and was wondering what would be the best, cheapest and risk free way of doing it myself? I read a thread on this forum about GUNK degreaser, water and some tyre dressing to clean it?? And also CD-2 engine detailing kit? Are these actually any good?? I'll be doing my Golf MK2 engine as well as the bay, but my Corrado is undergoing an engine swap soon so I'll just clean the bay out while the old engine is out of it, and I'll polish the engine before it goes in :) Thanks=s guys!!:afro:

VR6 Breaking - Some stuff still going cheap
DiamondTony replied to VAG-hag's topic in Cars for Breaking
I will take the door scrapers pal if they're still available? Not bothered about pics etc - any would be better than mine!! Does the heater matrix work? If so will it fit the 16v?? Although I'm having a 20vt put in next week it'll be the same connectors. Thanks -
Thanks for the help people!! I'll get on it this weekend as I have got the car back from the garage now!! :D
-
Nice one! I'll try get it on when I get the motor back. What else is on it then to stop leaking? Seems to be leaking through the seal only on mine so I'll need to check everything when I fit the seal. Do I have to take the sunroof panel out altogether?
-
Hi buddy, thanks :) But my seal deffo needs replacing as it's stretched and warped due to a respray by previous owner so you can physically see the sky appearing through it lol!! I also have no inner sunroof cover etc, so basically I have the sunroof panel and then the interior of the car... fun times lol ---------- Post added at 2:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:49 PM ---------- But the seal is the only place it seems to be leaking from as there is no water in the rain channels or anything - fingers crossed it's just a seal issue!! But still need to figure out how to fit it... :/
-
Hi guys, I need to replace my sunroof seal as the old one is leaking quite severely. I have the new seal ready to fit, but I'm unsure how to do this :( Can anyone help?

How much for the 90mm front splitter please mate? posted? Can you PM me a picture of the crack? Thanks, Tony
-
Hi mate, how big is the crack? Is it in good condition otherwise? Any pics and a price please?? Thanks

Hi all, Not sure this is in the right bit but I want some advice really. I want to turbo my valver - it's a 1800 KR. What kind of parts will I need to run about 200-250bhp. Want to keep most of it standard tbh. Been advised I need an S2 manifold... And I think I'll go with a Garrett T25 turbo. What else can I expect to have to do? Thanks in advance!!
-
Hi all, I'm just after a few bits, not urgently but I want them :) 90mm front splitter Smoked rear lights Passenger side headlight Black leather interior (only the seats) Drivers side front brake hub for 16v - or a G60 pair Thanks
-
Hi mate you still got your 90mm splitter and tail lights?? How much for all of it and posted to Leeds mate? Thanks
-
That is my Rado yeah Mass!! I parked it round the corner other day, but it leaks so is usually in the garage... I'll get some more pics up now. It is mint, but the colour is a SEAT colour called Kiwi Green - the MK1 Ibiza GTIs were in that colour. :) ---------- Post added at 8:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:58 PM ----------

Hi all, just joined the forum a few days ago, bought my first Rado on Friday!! It's a 16v 1.8, all electrics work and it's pretty quick. Had a fresh respray, and it's the only one I've seen in this colour! (SEAT Kiwi Green). I'll post some pics when I'm not at work! There are a few issues with the car - interior is tatty, sunroof leaks and the engine has idling problems. Also the heater doesn't work, only cold air blows out the vents... Hopefully with some assistance from you guys on here and with a little bit of elbow grease I can get these issues sorted :) Thanks in advance!!
