Ride height

Can someone please tell me what the original measurement is from the centre of the wheel to the top of the arch on a 1.8 16v.

I want to see what my car is lowered by, the last owner told me but i want to make sure.

I've just stuck brand new rear suspension on my VR and it's just a fraction below low earth orbit at the moment.

 

Most lowering kits tend to lower 30mm+ from standard height. The thing is, that will be a measurement from a car that has just rolled out of the factory. Your 10yr old springs will have sagged a fair bit since new, so it's all a bit of a fudge.

 

Looking at your avatar, I'd say you were down somewhere in the 50mm region, but it's just a guess.
