Bojmobile 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Hey guys - know this will have been covered before - but I've been experiencing some weird central locking problems and removed a door pin which I need to fit back on - anyone got any easy fix soultions? Am I better just removing the whole door card? If so - do I just basically pop off the electric window button then undo the screws and bobs my uncle? Cheers
fla 9 Posted November 17, 2004 Er yeah, pretty much. You need to remove the leather trim on the door grab and there are two large screws behind. Tke these out and then slide the grab off. Slide off teh plastic trim from the internal door handle (forwards IIRC) and unscrew the handle from the door. Undo all the screws around the door card (4?) and carefully lift the card out from the clips at teh bottom of the door. Dont try and force the black trim at the top off - the door card sits in this and it will just break if you try. HTH
biggrim 0 Posted November 17, 2004 don't forget the hidden speaker screw that holds that part to the door. Remove the speaker cover and you should see it.
VR6 0 Posted November 17, 2004 Are you sure there's a screw behind the speaker cover on the late door cards? Don't remember removing that when I did mine .... :?:
daves16v 1 Posted November 17, 2004 There is also one screw behind the door grab. You'll see it once you remove the door grab.

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 17, 2004 Are you sure there's a screw behind the speaker cover on the late door cards? Don't remember removing that when I did mine .... :?: That indicates the cards have been off in the past and the screw wasn't put back in afterwards. Another one that's always left off by previous fiddlers is the rear shelf support nut closest to the strut top...... just in case you're getting any rattling back there
