Phil Diment 0 Posted November 18, 2004 :) Hi, I don't know if you can get a custom one for the Corrado but I bought one made by "Cover Systems"(UK) off the Internet which is outdoors and breathable; comes with a central strap and tabs at front and rea for bungees if neede and access when on to both doors. Cost around £100. Try their website at www. "Cover Systems". Cheers, Phil

craigowl 0 Posted November 18, 2004 Chubb said I got one from lidls last year a fiver cured it ! Me too. Never out of the place. What about the combination spanner set (chrom/vanadium) for £1.49 or something - unbelievable.
Phil Diment 0 Posted November 19, 2004 :)Apologoes for the bad link. Try "www.cover-systems.com". As for a cover £5 from Lidls, try leaving the cover on with the car outside in the rain and see how much condensation builds up under the cover rusting away at out pride and joys bodywork. I'd recommend a "breathable" cover; like anything else you pays your money and takes the your choice. Cheers, Phil

The covers over our garden furniture  are similar and collect condensation which drips downwards - you have to remove cushions, mattresses, etc, to prevent them being soaked. I only got my Lidl cheapo as a dust cover for in the garage, though. Regards

Cheers, Phil you only put it on overnight and remove it thru the day,its not designed for over winter storage, just to keep the frost off the car overnight Or Snow ! when its removed its hung on the washing line to dry it off again I havent tryed shoving it in the gas tuble dryer yet ! if its over winter I would suggest renting a garage or a container. anyway like I said, her car goes in the garage, the poor mitsubishi stays out in the snow chubbz
steveo29 0 Posted November 21, 2004 i tried a cover systems one and sent it back.....theyre designed to let water in :( which seems pretty usless for a car cover!! i now use a meduim size tyvek from ha;fords of all places.....almost a perfect fit and it doesnt let water in and still breathes..£65 at halfords, be aware any cover is only suitable for use on a clean car,any dirt may scratch it
StuartFZR400 0 Posted December 14, 2004 Do these covers have a soft lining? As im only guessing, but i had the notion that one of the cheapo Halford covers would simply wear a 'Rub' mark onto the car bodywork. Right / wrong?
Neil VR6 0 Posted December 14, 2004 I had one of the expensive £65 jobs from Halfords and it was brilliant. It was made from DuPont Tyvek and was completly waterproof and also breathable so you dont get condensation. It was also silver in colour so it reflected the sun in the summer and kept the car cool. The back of it was sufficiently soft not to scratch the car either. I used it to keep tree sap off the car when I lived in my old flat.
steveo29 0 Posted December 19, 2004 the halfords ones dont have a lining....fits s well it doesnt move even in high wind, mine didnt budge in a god storm wothout straps its doesnt look like its that great....but it does its job very well beacuse its not much thicker than paper you can give it a good shake and its nearly dry.
