Who's been upsetting the Type R people ?

Recommended Posts

link no good bro, unless you're registed

***edit

i have registered now

hehe its top banter.

TBH the civic type R is a pretty good car. and i dont mind getting heat from "CTR" owners.

however if i was to stumble upon a SAXO forum with some KID with VTR saying "hey mister my saxo pisses on your corrado" then i would be more insulted.

Yep, fair play. But it is getting bitter now, using the words chav and corrado in the same sentence, ouch...

Yeah that hurts a bit.. I don't think i've ever met a single chavvy Corrado owner quite honestly.

Hmmm... Just registered, but it's saying the topic or post no longer exists.

Had it gotten SO heated that it was pulled by one of their mods?

it did that with me. must be an error with the board. maybe the board only works when it is revved to 9000 rpm

go back to the portal and click on it, it's still there

I was on the SaxoSportsClub for about 2 years and whilst the car has a bad rep (mainly because it's quite nippy and affordable, low insurance, pikeys can afford it etc etc) it is an absolute belter. In fact a sorted Corrrado and a cam'd and chipped VTS would be quite a match round a track. In fact I would stick my neck out and say that the Saxo would show the C a clean pair of heels! (cue torrent of replies :D)

Mods please delete the last post by Neil G60... in section 29, paragraph 6 in the Corrado Forum rules it states that the words "Saxo" and "Corrado" cannot be used in the same paragraph. Mods you know what to do.

I love these threads :) I'm quite impressed with that forum actually, usually when this sort of thing comes up, everyone slags the other car off and names many a time when they've had races and 'whooped' them  but doesn't seem to be the case here :)

Not a fan of the CTR tbh, I'm sure it'd be more than a match for my G60, but too common for me.. I like having cars that are a bit different :)

None of us personally designed and made our cars, so no point getting upset by rude comments directed at Corrados.

Some people are just way too blinkered and biased to see beyond their own bonnets and love sticking wasps in the hornet's nest.

The "Audi TT 225" thread in General ended up on the TT forum cause some TT owning knob on here copied it over to start a flame war, the idiot.

Only he didn't get what he bargained for - the majority of the people on there showed a bit of respect and liking for the Corrado

I'm sure yours would G60Dan because it looks to be a bit an animal but think of the power to weight ratio difference. One of the guys had a stripped out VTS on throttle bodies and an LSD which was violently quick! 180 brake and about 850 kgs!

I also believe there is a similar clause in paragraph 7 regarding "Ford" ;)

Bitches the lot of you

Does the fact that this is my 100th thread add more weight to my arguement? (I didn't think so)

(The fappin thing rattled like a box of crackers though and annoyed the hell out of me  )

Just read the thread on the Type-R forum...interesting reading  Not keen on the look of the Civic Type R, but to be fair they go like stink.....wouldn't like to race one in my 2.0l 16v  would give it a go in a VR6 though!

As a few people mentioned, it's normally down to the driver...the expression "BERTI BIG B0LL0CKS" seems quite apt

My mate recently purchased a '96 Golf VR6 in good nick with 106k on the clock for £3000 complete with dodgy coil-pack. Another mate gave him a lift to pick it up in his '03 Civic Type-R, and, being the competitive Type-R owner he is, he felt the need to flex his muscles and show how slow the Golf was in comparisson....but what's this? The Golf is every bit as quick as the financed-up-to-the-hilt Civic? Shame....

I'm taking nothing away from the Civic though. Despite not being to my styling taste the engine is quite special. They're a nice enough car but personally I fail to see what all the fuss is about.
