Riley 0 Posted January 19, 2013 Well...I can confirm I do need two G60 air box lids. Bloody sure I had a full spare air box but there's that much Vw stuff in my unit I'll be damned if I can find it! Keep coming across other interesting bits that I forgot I had lol. Still need a late drivers side door handle too, oh and a late front bumper in Gloss black. Riley 0 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) Well there's no such thing as Amber Corrado Indicators (Late style anyway) only early style/U.S spec but... :D Edited January 23, 2013 by Riley
Sam.l 0 Posted January 23, 2013 Is there a specific colour code for the Amber laminex? They look quality and I want them now, NOW! :-)
Riley 0 Posted January 23, 2013 (edited) Colour code Sam? The final colour was decided on after looking at variations in colour from 70's-90's cars. We ended up with a superb final product and the high gloss finish makes them look very crisp!:thumbleft: Details can be seen at: http://www.Lamin-X.co.uk/gallery/amber_orange.htm I wasn't planning on keeping the 'test' set of indicators, but they look that good that I've claimed them lol. Supercharged Will 10 Posted January 25, 2013 Lovin the amber tint. I would like to order some. How much do you need and what's the cost?
g60 jack 10 Posted January 25, 2013 How much do you need to do the rear lights too?
Riley 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Hi mate, It's a long time since we did the rear lights so best to measure up as in below reply...The Corrado lights aren't the easiest to do, so removing them from the car with the help of heat/an oven at 80-100c is best. Lovin the amber tint. I would like to order some. How much do you need and what's the cost? Hi mate, I think...It was a single 12"x8" (Just £9.99) that was used to protect both front indicators. It's worth double checking and details on measuring up for fitment can be seen here. Hope that helps. Neil.
nino 0 Posted January 27, 2013 love the indicators mate
Riley 0 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) Cheers Manny. Just done some wideband AFR logging. All the below is with: Ported charger. 68mm pully. RSR Charger outlet. Boost return deletion. Heavily ported/polished and dewedged throttle body. Sierra cosworth FMIC. SNS 5.5 chip. Ford red tops injectors - 312cc @ 3bar and 14.5ohms. Porsche 3.5bar fuel pressure regulator. First Run (Three logs): 60mph 4th gear to WOT through to 5th gear. Log 1: Log 2: Showing only the WOT and gear change from above. Log 3: Showing the average AFR's of the above. Min: 10 Max: 22 Average: 12 Second Run (Three logs): 80mph 5th gear to WOT. Log 1: Log 2: Showing only the WOT from above. Log 3: Showing the average AFR's of the above. Min: 11.9 Max: 12.8 Average: 12.3 So the most important part of all that is the bottom log, showing only full throttle (WOT) in 5th gear. With a minimum of 11.9AFR, Max of 12.8AFR (Perfect!!!!!) and Average of 12.3AFR (Slightly rich but good!!!) as the plan is to fit my 65mm charger pully and then do the same logging again. Neil. :thumbleft: Edited February 1, 2013 by Riley
g60 jack 10 Posted January 30, 2013 Wandering if you coukd help me out a little buddy.... so i can judge how some wheelsbi am going to buy will sit. So what width and offset are those borbets? And what tyres sizes are you running Cheers
Riley 0 Posted January 30, 2013 Sure mate... Worth noting that mine is a late style (Wider front wings etc) and I have had 6mm machined off the faces of the rear discs so the rear wheels sit in a little. Wheels all round are: 9x16 ET15 with 215/40 tyres.:thumbleft:
sexybourbon 0 Posted January 31, 2013 This looks so good it hurts haha great work on the car mate are the wheels borbet b's ? Perfect look for a corrado wish i could run that low on coilys lol i might give it a go Keep it up mate one of the best looking rados imo
g60 jack 10 Posted January 31, 2013 Cheers bud, cause ive just ordered 16x8 et25 and 16x9 et20 so shoul be ok then shouldnt they
Riley 0 Posted January 31, 2013 Too kind redborbet, thanks mate:thumbleft: OK...Fitted the new 65mm pulley along with new belt and small charger timing belt. Initial thoughts on driving home in traffic revealed an issue...As far as logging/measuring It gets to 'X' speed much quicker lol. It feels very much more pokey/faster and actually runs better! Especially at tickover and as far as throttle response (rpm rises quicker) Anyway, onto the logging with the 65mm pulley. Same runs as before. First Run (Three logs): 60mph 4th gear to WOT through to 5th gear. Log 1: Log 2: Showing only the WOT and gear change from above. Log 3: Showing the average AFR's of the above. Min: 10 Max: 19 Average: 12 Second Run (Three logs): 80mph 5th gear to WOT. Log 1: Log 2: Showing only the WOT from above. Log 3: Showing the average AFR's of the above. Min: 11.7 (.2 drop) Max: 13.3 (.5 rise) Average: 12.4 (.1 rise) Good!!! So at wide open throttle in 5th gear, the 68mm pulley has an average AFR of 12.3 and the 65mm pulley has an average AFR of 12.4! All good. But the interesting thing is that the 65mm pulley runs leaner initially at full throttle. You can actually feel this as it seems to have more of a surge, and I'd say on the 68mm it felt more flat even though there was more fuel! You can see this on the below image where I've put the 68 and 65 side by side, notice the 65mm runs leaner at initial wide open throttle. The red line running across is 12.8AFR, which most consider ideal fueling at WOT. And there we have it...some 'rough' logs/results of 68 VS 65 pulleys. Neil. owen g60 10 Posted January 31, 2013 I think the 65mm pulley is the better option. I have my AFR log from a recent rolling road run. With a custom map from SNS I had a steady reading of 12.8 all the way through the rev range, it only leaned out slightly when I got above 7500 rpm. (I have a 8500 rpm limiter). Riley 0 Posted January 31, 2013 65mm feels bloody awesome eh lol. Be interesting to see Owen, and yep, it's not like we need/want to be going crazy with the rpm anyway especially with the restrictive heads (Mine is anyway) Be good to get it back on the rollers now to see how it's altered the figures. owen g60 10 Posted January 31, 2013 The way the power comes in feels more savage. Should be up round the 210 - 220 bhp mark with red tops and a map.
Riley 0 Posted February 1, 2013 Well it was 208 iirc before adding the 65mm pulley today, I'm not expecting a massive power increase obviously, but be good to see the more aggressive curve with more torque. PS: Any thoughts on that air box lid mate? Ian is digging one out for me, but may need two.
