Recaro Interior Pics?

Recommended Posts

years mot left on the car, so probably hence the seatbelts being done up! I am yet to clean the back seats, they still have spiders webs on them! fish4cars.co.uk, just got lucky it was the first car i went to see, but probably the 50th one to have enquired about. Looked on the forum and autotrader, autocar etc. Worth a look if your searching for a corrado, may be the place to get the ones that havent taken any abuse! i.e. 2nd cars etc

You did very well mate, your leather looks to be in the same condition as my mate's 33K old Storm! I've seen some really shabby leather sets go on ebay for £1000+ that would be put to shame by yours!

Ive just picked up a vr6 with leather, electric, heated seats that also have the recaro emblem on them with the middle of the seat, as with the cloth ones in this thread. I dont have any decent pictures as yet as I only picked up thre car this monday!

I don't think the leather Corrado Recaros have anything written on them...

Nive find Andy! That makes it 3 C's in the UK that I know of with that interior... 8)

Cool, have you got them in yor C?

They are almost mint, no bolster wear or marks at all, just need a clean, the passenger seat 'height adjust' won't go down (is at highest point) but I think its just the switch because when pressed up it 'tries' to move up but when pressed down there is no click or load on the battery. Will post some pics soon.

jboyslick looks like you've got a bargain there, that leather looks immaculate! Are you sure you need a mirror motor? it may just be the that copper contacts in the adjustment switch need cleaning up and re-greasing.

the click will probably be the solenoid, if you keep pressing the buttons it will clean the copper contacts and may start to work.

be careful when you open up the switch, its easy to damage the copper tracks on edges of the pcb. if the little copper 'dumbells' are corroded too, just spin them around with a screwdriver to expose a clean side.

The way that the mirrors are adjusted is by motor-driven plastic worm and gear drives behind the glass, and sometimes these can jam. The motors may be trying to turn the worm against a jammed or misaligned mechanism. If you, *very carefully*, prise the mirrors out of the shells, you will see how it all works and maybe you can effect a repair. Sometimes I have had this problem with my Passat; if you press reasonably hard on the edges of the mirror glass, it will move and jump the adjusters; thereafter the electric adjustment works again. It sounds (and is) brutal, but it seems to work.

Best wishes

Tom, beige really works well with the black carptets IMO.

Here's mine in black.

Yeah, I know what you mean matey. I've tried to sort of zone the beige and the black bits into sections.

In the middle of sorting some beige door cards out and a few other bits of trim and then I'm nearly done on the main interior bits I think. I always seem to lose interest over the winter though - hopefully the summer will revive some wallet opening! :)
