Rustynuts 0 Posted March 20, 2005 I fixed my wires with super glue as a temp fix, however, to do it prop drop a bit of solder into the connection and push the wire back in with cleaned up bare end. Hey presto, fixed. By the way, black wire is the inner free slot and the purple is the outer.

MK1G60R1 0 Posted March 20, 2005 Sounds like you have been running in Limp mode. Did you notice a difference in fuel consumption once you wired in the Lambda? The hose from the ECU must be 1 meter long and will make a difference...
Riley 0 Posted March 20, 2005 thanks m8. :) ill have to see how it does on fuel, will it have used more in limp mode? neil.

h100vw 0 Posted March 21, 2005 Without a reference from the lambda probe the ECU assumes the worst and piles in the fuel so you don't blow the motor up. If teh pipe is less than 95cm you would notice it bogging down at low revs and flying at the top end. My guess is that the pulses in the inlet manifold take a certain amount of time to reach the MAP sensor and if they arrive out of sync they confuse the hell out of the ECU.
