There's a little tab underneath that you need to apply pressure to.

It's a bloody horrible thing to prise off and mine doesn't seem to have been quite as snug fitting since.

This has been discussed before but I'm not sure where the thread is. Applying pressure doesn't work for me :? I prise it out and it seems to work for me.

Push on the little tab towards the ceiling and at the same time, grip and push forward on the sleeve. Seems like it's not going to budge, but it should move eventually!

Arrrgh !

Can't get this damn handbrake cover off at all !

Have found a tab at top and bottom of the plastic end of the handbrake cover and tried to get it off by pulling whilst pressing tabs but it won't budge, any other ideas ?

Cheers,

hacksaw? I had to cut one off J-DUB when I first got her as some muppet had broken the tab in the past and then glued the sodding thing on...

Are replacement handle covers still available from VW? I only got a plastic one in my poverty spec C and would like the leather one that you find in the VR 8)

Ar5e...,

Oh well, some force and screwdriver leverage resulted in....broken plastic handbrake handle.

Right, hopefully I can get the new one fitted,
