cheesy 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Had my Toad AI606 Alarm fitted today with dual prox, shock sensor & Pager. The guys did a really top nothch job and brought to my attention a couple of issues that need addressing with the fuse bx, due to the previous mickey mouse alarm installer. Nothing someone in the VW know about electrics can't solve for me, looking like i might give Midland VW a ring and see if they can help chris
Riley 0 Posted June 27, 2005 i replaced the fuel feed pipe that runs from the filter to the engine bay. the old one looked okay so im baffled as to where the fuel patch was appearing from :? neil.
jonocos 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Replaced the oil cooler seal after it failed driving back from work and dumped all the engine oil over the road.Oil pressure warning light and buzzer went off but stopped in time to save any damage. Never heard of this seal failing before but oil cooler was on tight and seal had twisted and split at the rear. Definately fitting an oil pressure gauge and higher pressure warning light, if it had been on the motorway the engine would be dead.
joebloggsVR69 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Took mine to the $tealers to get the key's recoded.. Was there at 8:45. Went back there at half past five and it still wasnt ready! It's a 5 minute job ffs!! :x When it was finally ready, the 'sales assistant' (or whatever they call em) drove it out from round the back. Looked really good, funny how you dont realise just how sexy the Corrado is until someone else drives it & you're outside watching 8) :)

Riley 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Definately fitting an oil pressure gauge and higher pressure warning light, if it had been on the motorway the engine would be dead. lucky man! im wanting some better way of keeping check on the pressure too, suppose its how quickly you can react as well though. neil. reaper1_3 0 Posted June 28, 2005 collected my car from the local garage, who kindly fitted a new brake slave cylinder for me... ordered my new fk highsport coilovers!!
Yandards 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Finished swaping over my FK coilovers to Koni TA's with H&R springs. Changed both the front anti-roll bar bushes. Took the passenger side wheel arch liner out, gave it a good clean and hosed it with fresh waxoil. Can't tell you what the difference is between the FK's and the Koni's as the car is OTR while I do my engine build and swap.

24V Renshaw 0 Posted July 1, 2005 Drove the 24v V6 all the way home to my parents place (150 miles) without a single problem. Ran at 90 degrees C the whole way and absolutely flies!! Bit noisy with absolutely no interior trim at all, but that is what I have come up to crack on with. Couple of little niggles, like I am still far from happy with the brakes, and the cruise control didn't want to work :(, but otherwise. All good.
