Henny 0 Posted May 26, 2005 check your fuses for the headlights (although it could also be the switch) Brake lights sounds like a dodgy brake light switch or a damaged wire...
Supercharged 2 Posted May 26, 2005 Also see if it has an uprated headlight loom... As henny says the brake light switch is probably stuck...
dannyc 0 Posted May 26, 2005 thanks i'll have a look tomorrow. it has got the uprated headlight loom, could that be fitted badly?
Walesy 0 Posted May 26, 2005 grrrrr...barstewards....why cant people just speak the truth when selling something like a car....i doubt its something that would make or brake a deal!. If it works out to be the switch let me know mate...i just may have a spare one for you  oh..and welcome to corrado ownership :D EDIT- deleted spare r in spare
TomB 0 Posted May 27, 2005 dannyc, if it's got an uprated loom and your headlights will not work on dipped, then it could be the relay is bust (that was the problem on mine). Welcome to the forum, Tom
dannyc 0 Posted June 3, 2005 i've checked the fuses and their all ok but i can't see the brake light switch. i was told its behind the pedal and that the pin could of come out, is that right?
Stan 24v 0 Posted June 3, 2005 Try lifting the pedal to see if the lights go out, it could have dropped. Ive seen it before, though it was on a fiesta!!
dannyc 0 Posted June 6, 2005 the pedal won't lift at all i've taken all of the trim out so i can have a good look around and i've found quit a few diconnected plugs :? i've put two back together that look right but they haven't made a difference to my situation. can anyone tell me exactly what the brake switch looks like and the relay for the front lights. i haven't got a workshop manual yet. whats happening is when i brake the tail lights come on and when i put my lights on the brake lights come on.
