markievw 0 Posted June 5, 2005 hi the battery on my Corrado vr6 went this morning. So went to local motor factor and bought a lucas battery with 4 year guarantee, but not sure if it is the right one??? One i have bought is 12v 590A 60ah Is this right
dr_mat 0 Posted June 5, 2005 Does it fit? If so it'll do. Personally I went to GSF and bought a Bosch 64Ah, but any battery that's 50Ah+, physically fits the hole, and has the right terminals on it will be fine.
markievw 0 Posted June 5, 2005 yes it fits okay. And car seems to run fine with it. :D By the way below is a picture of my new corrado which i have had for about 6 weeks :D :D

billinjah 0 Posted June 23, 2005 do gsf do good prices on bosch?
Supercharged 2 Posted June 23, 2005 Yep, very good prices!
dr_mat 0 Posted June 24, 2005 Not as good prices as Costco, if you happen to know a member or have a card yourself ...
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 24, 2005 I put the biggest Bosch Silver in mine that would physically fit...it's a 74AH, bargain for £55. The starter motor spins over faster than the engine now I think!
h100vw 0 Posted June 24, 2005 My syncro didn't know what had hit when I shelled out on a new battery. That 8 volt system just didn't cut it really. Sounds like a MK2 Escort with 24volt starting to overcome the monster compression. Gavin
