A9X SJ 0 Posted June 15, 2005 Is there holes behind this rear badge if I was to remove it ?
Walesy 0 Posted June 15, 2005 yeah mate....4 if i remember correctly and welcome to the forum :D
Supercharged 2 Posted June 15, 2005 Yep 4, with plastic grommets between the badge and bodywork to stop water getting in.
RW1 0 Posted June 15, 2005 Watch it with the badge, it can be a little weak in the middle and break. The "thin" point is visible.

Supercharged 2 Posted June 16, 2005 Remove and spray
craigowl 0 Posted June 16, 2005 supercharged said Remove and spray Entirely agree. Having hand painted and sprayed bits of cars, etc, for decades (mostly with rubbish end result) the best way to deal a small item like the badge is to remove it (dead easy) and use a spray paint suitable for exterior plastic. Follow instructions on can, I can assure you this is important. Use at correct temperature - clean/degrease item first with solvent which does not attack the plastic. Madjackal 0 Posted June 16, 2005 I changed the rear badge on my J reg G60 and my M reg VR and they both had 2 holes not 4. Steve you're not getting confused with that fiesta are ya!?
Madjackal 0 Posted June 16, 2005 Why not just buy a black badge. They are the same as the passat ones, I got mine for 4 quid from VW so you must be able to pick one up somewhere for the price of a can of spray paint. It allows you to go back to standard if you so desire aswell.

Steve you're not getting confused with that fiesta are ya!? 4 holes on my 16v and VR. 2 holes behind VW badge - if you mean that? It's the Corrado script badge guys - not the VW emblem. Madjackal 0 Posted June 20, 2005 Thats me! There's so many people out there who seem unable to pronounce the word Corrado I thought i would make it easier for them. No one seems to know what it is anyway, damn heathens!

Madjackal 0 Posted June 20, 2005 Some people just have to pronounce things wrong, they do it on purpose to annoy people like me who are genetically programmed to correct others. Its like when people say Pacific instead of specific and ekscaped instead of escaped. Its called being thick. I'll get off my soap box now!

Madjackal 0 Posted June 20, 2005 Im not alone then, thank god! This might be worth a thread. "Whats your most hated misuse of grammer" I really hope 'misuse' is one word or im in for some major embarresment.
Guest Posted June 20, 2005 Back to mispronouncing Corrado, still off topic but at least I didn't start it. My Dad can not get it into his head and always refers to my Cordoba!!!! Go figure... (if that's a phrase that's not going to upset too many people)

Sorry, but your use of the word "misuse" was the only correctly spelled and punctuated part of that posting .. ;)
