The All New Lupo Aero Wiper Conversion Thread!!

Recommended Posts

I did the grind the two stops off on my front wipers but they sill jump off the screen at high speed

So what I’ve done is weld a small m4 nut to the inside about 6mm further up than where the spring used to attach and hooked the spring around that and it works a treat. Had a quick squirt up to 110 in the rain tuther day (private road blah blah) all in the name of science and perfect wipe was achieved.

You need to flatten the bit where the flat arm kicks up to accept the spring because the new mounting point makes the main part of the spring clash with it, I just put it on some cardboard and used a hammer and chisel.

no, i've just got a Fabia arm for the rear, I want the areo blades for looks and the fact the wipers will be lower so i put the RA2 lower on the screen.

I know, I need this doing too, but 96 nuggets for a wiper. Might just get the drivers side done til I can afford the other one.

That would be as sweet as an over-ripe plum. I'm in defo. Unless I get some from the dealers beforehand.

Fitted these last week and they are AMAZING!! recommend to anyone who hasn't yet coughed up!

Best bit though, I played dumb at the stealers and made them check the old set number [6X2998406 - Drivers blade and arm]

The bloke said, 'yup, we've two of them in stock, they're £20.63 each set.'

'Perfect' I said. 'and what discount do you offer for CCGB members.'

'i'll take off 10%, as you dont have your membership card'

Ahh... that'll do!

Two sets as in 1xblade and arm in each set... so both for me!! :p

If there were more, i would have snapped them up and offered them here.

Def worth checking at your local stealer, before going with the new refs.

The non GTI wipers aren't the Aero style ones though so you may find that they are still not what you want :?
