Dave, you're a nutter. This car was an animal when I was in it, so god knows what it'll be like when you've finished.

Thanks Dave, I take that as a compliment!

Whats the plans then matey?

Well I'm trying to keep up with you for a start!

But lets just say I'll have some more updates for you guys in the next week or so

Well there's been a bit of a hold up due to a crappy f**king supplier (not G-werks!) selling me the pistons, then putting the pins on top of them in transit, damaging and rendering them useless, and then denying all responsability!!!

Fortunately Darren has come to the rescue and there will be a happier update shortly.

Time for a quick update.

The engine isn't finished yet, but after removing the front end in preparation for taking out the engine and grarbox, i discovered loads of rust on the battery tray...

But after a couple hours with the sandpaper and paint it's looking a little better now

Also, while I was at it, I took care of some stonechips too...

Hopefully this weekend, I'll get hold of the proper spline tool for the driveshaft bolts and have the engine out!

Well, after getting the proper tool for the driveshafts, swearing a bit and skinning only one knuckle, we finally dropped out the old engine and gearbox and I'm pleased to say we didn't find any more rust underneath!!!

Now it's ready for the new engine to go in when I get it back from G-Werks

Right, it's been a while so I thought it was time for an update!

Went to G-Werks on Thursday and picked up the new engine for the raddo.

Looks like Darren and the guys have done a top job 8)

Note how the flywheel is *slightly* smaller then a std one

Didn't take long before my hands were dirty...

Cheers to Champo for the assist

What have you had done to the block then? What sort of power output are you expecting dude?

The block is fully lightened and balanced.

I'm not about to start stating big numbers in case I fall flat on my face, but it should be quick!

Spent the day today mounting my new front mount, re-mounting my radiator and trying to get my head around all of the changes to the existing pipework/new pipework that has to go in!

Now I can see why people charge so much for the kits!

I'm so close to starting it again after 4 months of it being up on stands! All I need is a silicone reducer pipe and about 3 more hours!

Some of it came from the original Jabba conversion and some of it I've scrounged from various places

i learnt a while back that taking a few good hi-res photos of your bay etc works wonders - few months later you'll be glad you did!

Unfortunately, there's a blow by the turbo!

But it's all back together now so once my clutch problem is sorted I can look properly into the blowing!

Well, I've finally got it moving all by itself, there's a blow between the manifold and turbo, but hopefully it isn't too serious and it needs setting up properly, but it's alive and parked outside my house again!!! :D :D :D

Money Shot...
