Dub Style 0 Posted July 28, 2005 Scotts mototune 220 bhp engine conversion (3.2litre 24valve) gotta be the r32 engine??.....or is it?
olly elworthy 0 Posted July 28, 2005 very nice but auto?
VR6 220 0 Posted July 28, 2005 I know what every1 is saying but Im looking for a quick sale, if I miss out on his offer it might be months untill I can shift it! It came as a 2.9 auto, went straight to Scotts with 00000miles on the clock and had the 3.2 conversion. It cost 7.5k for the whole conversion (head work, rebore & ECU). It is not an R32 engine as it only made 220bhp when built and I'm sure they make 250bhp? Thanks for the interest!
VR6 220 0 Posted July 28, 2005 ..one thing tho..........i'm pretty sure it's still only a 12v 3.2  ??

vr6storm 0 Posted July 28, 2005 ..one thing tho..........i'm pretty sure it's still only a 12v 3.2  ?? it's a 12v as opposed to a 24v...............although oettinger were famous for the (4valve per cylinder head )of the mk1 GTI..........IIRC they didn't make the 12v VR6 lump into a 24v lump........VW did that on the v6-4motion...........the conversion you have is from memory a capacity increase with some minor headwork and cams...not a million miles away from the conversion that Scotts also offered on the VR in the early 90's.......with the Nothelle  ..........at the end of the day tho........its still a rare and sought after conversion
RS VR6 0 Posted July 29, 2005 It is not an R32 engine as it only made 220bhp when built and I'm sure they make 250bhp? Thanks for the interest! The 24v VR6 makes 201bhp (here in the states) from the factory. The R32 engine makes 240bhp from the factory

The Leningrad Cowboy 0 Posted August 18, 2005 is that all!!! i got £6500 for my 98k vr6 and that was last year.. i thought prices were getting stronger!? Maybe it was hot for such a quick sale? But seriously, I think anyone on this board would have (funds allowing) given more for that car. Weird. And to swap it for a Fiesta? Weirder.
VR6 220 0 Posted August 19, 2005 I didn't swap it for a fiesta! I had it advertised for ages (including on this forum) for £6K, the car wasn't for me and when I got offered what I did I thought I can use the fez for work and with the cash buy a mint high power RS which will piss all over the corrado's performance! Nothin wrong with the corrados they look lovely but thats about it, they r so predictable! I love a big psi turbo that scares the hell outta me everytime it comes on boost lol
The Leningrad Cowboy 0 Posted August 19, 2005 D'ya fancy an Astra VXR then? Bit steep at the moment, I suppose, but I bet at some point they will get heavily tweaked, and that'll be mental!
VR6 220 0 Posted August 20, 2005 No m8 I'm more in2 fords. Think the astra turbos are nice but again not my cup of tea. My girlfriend just got a seat ibiza cupra 20vt and thats a good little car for the money. I like the old skool motors best, would ideally like a escort cos but they are still way out of my price range!

StormVR6 0 Posted August 20, 2005 Nothin wrong with the corrados they look lovely but thats about it, they r so predictable! I love a big psi turbo that scares the hell outta me everytime it comes on boost lol I prefer predictable to "where the feck is this RS going" at every corner!! I think you will enjoy the Corrado when you've grown up mate. VR6 220 0 Posted August 21, 2005 Yes mate it was a lie lol, everybody else seems to be putting it on their ads! Got my new toy last night and I love it! The Corrado actually went to a mate so I'll get him to sign up to this forum-he's really lovin it! Its down to choice at the end of the day, you boy's slate fords and its the otherway round on the rs forum-they slated me when I sold my last RS for the rado! Any way my new one makes a proven 238bhp @25psi and is a 1600! Thats already nearly 20bhp over the corrado on paper I'm loving it. If any1 is interested I'll post a couple of pics! VR6 220 0 Posted August 21, 2005 Plus my corrado was an auto and that kinda takes some of the fun away. Storm VR6 why the fuck have you started to get bitchy? So your saying a corrado is an old mans car or what lol The corrado got comments everywhere it went and I loved it, but the RS is for a bit of weekend fun
A20 LEE 0 Posted August 21, 2005 The point is the corrado is a sports coupe, the fiesta is a shopping car aimed at a small family. You can make any car go faster than the C for 5K but a fiesta doen't have a the basic suspension design of a sport car, the brakes or the structural ridgity to compete. Take you point about the auto, did you consider changing for a late 16V or G60?. Its the same performance as a std RS Fiesta but a massive leap forward in handling and image. I had a 16V and it was a blast to drive hard. Could of bought 20V Turbos C, think its up for £6k ish. That has the potential for 350bhp..
samm_cvr6 0 Posted August 21, 2005 Any pics of this Fiesta?? I can understand why you sold it, as it was an auto, it was prob more of a cruiser type car and your after something more 'fun' can't say I would buy and RS if I had £5k to spend tho.
