Rick 0 Posted May 11, 2005 Nice car Lee . I might print off a few pics and put them on the walls in my new office when it's finished . Then customers can sit and drool while I'm destroying their own motors  Anyone who hasn't seen this car in the flesh really should make an effort to do so . I've been over every inch of it , and TBH , in my opinion there ain't really much that can be improved . One word of warning tho ...... There is a DALEK in the boot

Rick 0 Posted May 11, 2005 How many people would be jealous if I was to tell them that I've been behind the wheel a time or two ? :notworthy:
Furkz 0 Posted May 11, 2005 Rick_, haha depends if it was blasting around during the day i be well scared of scratching it as im sure lee would do more damage to the driver,,, now if it was saturday night pimpin hellll yeahh A20 LEE, speaking of a turbo,,, would u really make full use of it and drive that car hard enough, looking at the amount of money you spent and the finish you have obtained would seem that you be afraid of getting stone chips etc...i would be,,, so curiously asking

The turbo it definately needed. I'm building by dreamcar at the end if the day and 335bhp/380ftlb is the goal. No point being scared of stonechips, got plenty already. The first one's a gutter, then you live with it.

Its cracking value at £14 a tin, really is no need to spend more than that.

A20 LEE 0 Posted May 15, 2005 Quick update. Brakes are finally bedding in now. Massive improvement after todays blast from leeds to wales. They work differently than i expected. I'd say less bite on light pedal pressure as you would in everyday driving but push a little harder than you normally would then the stopping power is massively increased. Basically, you've got to drive the car harder to make big brakes worth while. They aren't as good as factory brakes if your just pottering around. Didn't seem that hot. Thought's on the black number plate? Not sure if it looks better or worse than the tinted yellow one :?

GIXXERUK 0 Posted May 15, 2005 number plate is def better mate, i noticed that as you pulled onto the roundabout, the escort cosworth was me and my bro and the weather was excellent ,got a bit burnt myself :-)
A20 LEE 0 Posted May 18, 2005 numberplate looks cool,,, prepare to get pulled though i think it makes the rear end look cleaner. The black and silver is actually much easier and clearer to read i think. Not sure weather to risk it when i'm already pushing my luck driving around with no front plate.
