Blue_Joe 0 Posted August 23, 2005 I like them aswell! Currently looking into it wih mine but particularly like them when the top vent follows the crease line in the wing
mrbeige 0 Posted August 23, 2005 I like them, but the question is do you put one the other side too, to make it symetrical?
Blue_Joe 0 Posted August 23, 2005 I like them, but the question is do you put one the other side too, to make it symetrical? A big NO from me on that one! It'd be a bit like putting a false air scoop on the bonnet or those Escort RS Turbo Vents that just stick on, onto a standard Kevscort!
chaz g60 0 Posted August 23, 2005 no i think the one sided thing makes it look like its there for a purpose! and it is

dazzyvr6 0 Posted August 23, 2005 you can buy the wing vents from venom i think, you just need to cut and weld your wing

dazzyvr6 0 Posted August 23, 2005 or theres a company that will press a vent into your wings they are called cool lourves, they have a web site but i cant find it right now and here it is http://www.coollouvres.com
Neil VR6 0 Posted August 23, 2005 They don't actually do anything apart from cool the inside of your wing? Make sure you've got a good coating of waxoyl inside your wing tot as rain will get in. Also, make sure any rain that does collect can drain away.
sciroccotune 0 Posted August 23, 2005 get em pressed, looks so much better. welded ones can crack round the seams..
Henny 0 Posted August 23, 2005 Neil G60, yup, you'd have to punch a hole through the inner wing too to get any advantage from a wing vent... That one in the first post, IIRC, HAS got an airway from the vent to the airbox though... 8) I considered one on my car, but couldn't be bothered in the end...
