skoda brakes on the c??

Recommended Posts

I have a 2L16v but have the chance of some 288 carriers and callipers from an octavier. Would they fit on the c? And would I be able to get any 288 discs for 4 stud?....maybe use 280mm discs??

I think they're 5-stud :(

I think 280 is as big as you can get on a 4-stud unless you go for some Brembos or similar.

I believe the Octavia uses the same brakes as Mk4 Golf, which has a different hub-offset than the Corrado. You can fit the brakes, but you might need some washers and longer bolts to get the callipers to line up with the disks.

It comes from spending far too flippin' long researching brake upgrades

The 288s off a late Mk3 go on fine, but the Mk4 hubs are different, which means the disks have a different offset, hence the need for washers. But what I don't know is if the carriers will line up without washers if you use the Mk3 288 disks.

'tis a baffling array of bits...
