vr6storm 0 Posted August 1, 2003 £33k!!! Its crazy. Just think how many Corrado's you could buy for that :D absolutely crazy right enough........tho i suppose it is before discount........but i'm sure someone does/will pay full list now here's a thought............for your £33+k you could probably end up with every Corrado engine option and probably get the 2 auto options too 1.8 16v 1.8 8v G60 2.0 16v 2.0 8v 2.9 VR6 with the auto options its a Corrado for every day of the week 8) ...........total Corrado heaven 8) :D :D :D
Jim 2 Posted August 1, 2003 Well one of em would be bound to break.. so I am sure you wouldn't have one every day every week :D
vr6storm 0 Posted August 1, 2003 PMSL     ......true jim didn't think about that
VR6 0 Posted August 1, 2003 Or you could but one for £5k and spend the other £28k fixing it. How nice would it be to have a sweet Corrado and a spare £33k to chuck at it!?!
Jim 2 Posted August 1, 2003 Just think of the stuff you could do to it.. Twin Turbo? Exhaust/suspension/wheels/leather retrim/full engine rebuild/full respray/etc/etc!!! Suits you sir!! :)
dr_mat 0 Posted August 1, 2003 Surely it would cost £28k just to replace all the bits that make up the suspension? This *is* a VW you know.. Having 7 Corrados is a really good idea though. That means that you'll only be stranded without a working C about once a month!!! The downside is you'll be in the garage approximately every 38 hours 20 minutes either picking up or dropping off... ;-)
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 1, 2003 Looking through my history, the only MOT it failed was 2 years ago due to perishing rear brake flexi-hoses. Not bad for a 9 year old car. All the VWs I've had sail through the MOTs, even my ropey old MK1s. The only thing they generally pick on with German cars is the steering rack from my experience. Everything else is just too solid to fail it on! Kev
