ETKA number check please!

the MAF i ordered from ebay came today, and the part number on it is '071 906 461' can someone check on ETKA and tell me what cars it fits please? ta muchly!

Could someone do something for me too? I would like to know the part numbers for the thermostat and thermostat housing (I don't trust our local Seat dealer)

except the sensors in the manifold - do you need to replace the lot? i think its everything - get back to me if you want any supplied cos i'll be placing an order at dinnertime.

right vag number is: 071 906 461

bosch number: 0 280 217 523

 

it doesnt actually look anything like my MAF, its open at one end and has a thick plastic mesh before a thinner wire mesh at the other end, 5 pin connector and looks as near as damnit brand spanky new.

 

if you can find out if its for a late vr paul its yours, but i'll PM jay and see if its the one he needs...

That VAG number is still coming up with no record on ETKA, even on an ATP search. Any extra letters or anything?

nope, nothing at all other than the vw/audi logo, the 'bosch' logo, a directional arrow, 'made in germany' and 'durchflub' whatever that may be!

I have an Air Flow Meter listed (I assume you are talking about the metallic tube just next to the Air Filter box) up to chassis number 50-R-015-000.

 

Part no is 021 906 461. I am going to make a guess and say that you mau have a superseeded part.

 

The Air Flow Meter for chassis nos 50-R-0150-001 on is 021 906 462

Part no is 021 906 461 isnt listed as a MAF on etka,i think itd down as an air volume meter,which is probably the same as a MAF

chrishill, that part number is for the early (faulty) mk4 MAF, I'm fairly sure that it got superceded to 071 906 461A because of problems with them, you can exchange it for a new one for about £70 from VW (071 906 461AX)
