raypau 0 Posted September 29, 2005 Hi guys, Touch wood haven't had any problems with the C, but its due for a service soon and i'm gonna try to do as much as i can myself. Just wanted to get people's opinion on where i should get my parts from, GSF or Eurocarparts? Any opinions would be a great help. Cheers Ray
Neil VR6 0 Posted September 29, 2005 I've used GSF a number of times and usually get a 10% discount if I mention I'm a member of an owners club. The guys on the phone are always helpful and the bits arrive quickly.

dinkus 10 Posted September 29, 2005 I've got a set of the smaller Magnecors for a coilpack VR that you can have for £70 posted, or some cheapo (but with the big metal end) leads for a dizzy VR for £35 posted. Both are only a few months old

HiAsAKite 0 Posted October 2, 2005 Make sure you get the right ones.. early VRs had a dizzy and you can get cheaper leads for them... The coil pack HT leads are around £120 for a new set from VAG I think...

Top quality & I wouldn't use anything else. raypau - if you get the leads from GSF, be sure to specify that you want the Beru leads. We stock leads from several manufacturers but Beru are by far the best.

The original lead's that i took of mine were stamped with Bremi & VW so they must be OE.Or maybe beru and bremi both make lead's for VW.Also We've got a V5 Golf at work at the minute and that has got Bremi lead's on it.(The actual wire's are red though).. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 3, 2005 Bremi make the metal plug bits and the cap end plug and wire is Beru.
