Storm77 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Hi everybody, thought that seeing as i'm new to this forum i'd officially introduce myself and my 'rado. I'm Adam and I've owned a '95 Mystic Blue Storm for the last year. I've always been a VDub nut, but mainly into the Club GTI scene. When I bought the 'rado it was totally standard. I really wanted to keep it that way but knew that a 30mm drop was required. Then i thought seeing as I was gonna do that I might aswell add a few more subtle enhancements whilst still in keeping with the 'factory' look. So this summer it went to AmD for £3K worth of pampering! New suspension, wishbones, bushes, front brakes, Milltek exhaust, Magnecor leads, remap and rolling road, and a few other bits and bobs. They spent 19 man hours on it and the results were superb! The 'Storm' number plate added the finishing touch. Now just needs a wheel refurb and new colour coded grill (original was damaged so replaced with temporary black one) then she'll be minty. Milage - 87k Full VAG and specialist history. Here's a few piccies (quality isn't too crystal clear but you'll get the general idea!)............................. all comments both positive and negative welcome! Phil K 0 Posted October 7, 2005 That looks great... the blue is def the best Storm colour IMO! Not to sure about your silver bee sting mast though ;) Oh, and welcome to the forum too BTW :D
Storm77 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Cheers guys. Yeah was in a bit of dilemma with the rear lights cos I really don't like the original orange ones...think they put years on the car. These are the M3 crystal smoked.......which actually look a bit more subtle (less bright) in real life. I got them after I saw Guy's tasty supercharged Storm (N*** GUY) in PVW with them on. james_88 0 Posted October 10, 2005 I think your car looks well tasty! Just wondering what colour you used to spray your rear corrado badge? I was thinking of doing something similar! Cheers, keep up the good work!

Cheers, keep up the good work! Thanks for the compliments. As far as I know it's the original badge...was on the car when I bought it and hasn't been sprayed. mr.ots 10 Posted October 10, 2005 From the pictures the grille looks black, the original grille would have been colour coded. It was probably changed for some reason and this would explain the black badge.

Storm77 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Trig, cheers, that always seems to be the first thing people comment on! 16v, yep solitudes all the way!
Storm77 0 Posted February 5, 2006 and just noticed, it's funny how the photo of the GF in the car has been viewed a sh*te load more times than the others!!!!
KADVR6 0 Posted February 5, 2006 yeh what a bunch of perverts on here,, but at that angle she does look a little bit like that sabine girl that was on top gear, she was fit to :D
Storm77 0 Posted February 6, 2006 Yeah come on guys, stop gorping at the missus! No of views with the GF (not a great photo at that) = 40 No of views showing the lupo wipers (with surroundings looking particularly minty) = 6  This is supposed to be a Corrado forum guys, so look at the Corrado! KADVR6, can see what you mean, but she's tastier than Sabine (not bias at all!)
Storm77 0 Posted April 1, 2006 Thought i'd post up some more pics seeing as it's just had a thorough clean and wax. Got some temporary wheels on from a MK3 vr6 while my Solitudes are being refurbed - looks pretty good for 15's I reckon. See what you guys think! Look out for it at Santa Pod tomorrow!! Storm77 0 Posted April 4, 2006 Cheers 16v. The leather is certainly more about looks than anything else for me...its too cold in the winter (when I haven't got time to wait for them to warm up), and too hot in the summer!! Although the 'wipe clean' factor is a bonus! Watch this space, going back to 4 x 4 ride height (brand new VW dampers) due to issues with my Konis, and seeing as I'm doing that, I'm gonna get the original lights back on too! It's gonna look totally standard again apart from the Milltek (which is a 'must have' IMO). Does anybody think i'm crazy?!
Phil K 0 Posted April 4, 2006 It's gonna look totally standard again apart from the Milltek (which is a 'must have' IMO). Does anybody think i'm crazy?! Will you be colour coding the grill again then too ;) Looking good btw - standard is fine in my book when you have a model that’s so desirable! New standard suspension is going to make it very high - higher than you'd expect as it won't have had 10 years to sag! I like it on the BBS too btw 8)
Walesy 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I think you're spot on getting it back to standard...other than the suspenders, It's shocking how high they are as standard. The car looks stunning though :thumbleft:
