Corrado won't run right

Recommended Posts

I have a 1991 corrado g60 with a Lysholm charger fitted, I have replaced coil, dizzy cap, rotor, plugs and leads. The car will start first turn of the key but when I try to drive it hesitates and splutters also I noticed that the catalytic converter is glowing red and is heating up the gear lever mechanism and that there seems to be exhaust gases coming up behind the inlet plenum any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Well I'm no expert but sounds very similar to saysomestuff's problem a while back (have you got that fixed yet mate?) so I'd suggest you check the lambda probe hasn't died as that will cause the symptoms you describe. Plenty other things it could be, but it's something worth looking at.
