Was the Mivec V6 available in 94? Sounds a bit old to me, but anyway, on paper the Mivec should trounce it if it's the regular 2.0 GT. If it's the GT4, then the tables might turn slightly.....

Now....would an Allegro 1500 TC beat my mate's Talbot Horizon 1300?

:offtopic1:

heh, my mum had a sunbeam (although not the lotus incarnation) followed by an allergo vandem plas, then a mustard/brown saab 96 which looked like a big steel poo. she got class my mum.

edit - for the sake of completion, heres a titanium-turd look a like.

aye, it had a big chrome (probably just painted silver) grille on it and faux-wood trim inside, i thought it was a rollsroyce.

feck..i don't remember the grill being like that....that's a bit mutton dressed as lamb that is. My mate had a Austin Meastro Vanden plas when he passed his test, and fair do's to the thing it was a rock...buy the time he got rid of it the interior had been stripped out by drunken fools and there wasn't an unkicked panel on the thing. He drove it with practicaly no oil for a few thousand miles and then topped it up and it ran fine again....a tank.

Anyway...I hope that answers your question comprehensivly Fritz
